Eagle View Escape, hotel in Wallerawang

Situated in Rydal, Eagle View Escape features 5-star accommodation with private balconies. The rooms in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine.

This was the perfect location for our weekend retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed the spa bath and gas fireplace during our rainy weekend, and the views from the balcony were absolutely spectacular. We especially loved going for a walk on the property down to the lake, where we found horses, alpacas, and even wallabys during our trek!

Fernbrook Cottage, hotel in Wallerawang

Featuring mountain views, Fernbrook Cottage offers accommodation with water sports facilities and a patio, around 48 km from Katoomba Scenic World.

Very rustic and of its time. Great hosts are Gary and Julie. Despite the rubbish weather we were able to really relax with a bath, some games of backgammon and reading. Warren the wombat made an appearance and the llama n kangaroos and sheep were fun to watch. The resident collie provides a warm welcome.

The heater was on for us the room was warm and a good size on arrival. The bed was very comfortable , it was great that the room had a couch in it. The view was wonderful , lots of birds and a few kangaroos. We ate at the restaurant both nights and the meals where delicious, would highly recommend. Deb our waitress was fantastic making our meal a delight . The motel is close to the road but you wouldn't know it as the rooms are quiet. We will be back

A quiet country town, just starting to recover after closure...

A quiet country town, just starting to recover after closure of coal-fired power station. Local people are very friendly and always offer assistance when asked. Wallerawang has a couple of pubs and a lakeside park ideal for BBQs. It is a good stay location for access to Rydal (daffodils), Lake Lyell, The Capertee Valley (Garden of Stone), Lithgow and the Glow-Worm Tunnel. Could even stop-over here before proceeding on to Mudgee.

I had never heard of this place but loved it.

I had never heard of this place but loved it. Everyone was so friendly and a great place to explore. Black Gold Motel was great and interesting to know it was previously a school and some buildings are named after precious teaching staff. Great food at both pubs and a great atmosphere.
