The location, the house itself was beautifully appointed and the proximity to the high street and landmarks like Fort Anne was ideal. The breakfast was exceptional - the best we've ever had at a BnB! Above and beyond to Lesley and Kevin - a great place to stay.

It is a lovely Old Manor opulent in its own way and set in gardens facing over the bay to Annapolis Royal..The hosts are very gracious and we loved the relaxed atmosphere in their wonderful home..Marta is a great cook and her homemade muffins are a delight..Art spoiled us with teas and coffees and a grand tour of his veggie garden was enjoyed by my hubby a produce gardiner himself..

This location was perfect for the event we came to attend which was directly across from us on the next street up. The bed was very comfortable, amenities were excellent and the proprietor was very friendly and welcoming. Everything was very clean, neat and tidy.
What a great little gem just minutes from Annapolis Royal.
What a great little gem just minutes from Annapolis Royal. The staff are friendly and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. I was shocked how good the hot and cold breakfast was. Will stay there again for sure. Quaint, quiet, peaceful.

Regarding the Motel- Here’s a few things that we really liked: the Annapolis Royal Inn is located just a short drive from town, free parking, friendly staff, temperature of room- excellent, great bedding, the shower velocity (excellent), and a nice breakfast, Just a couple of things to mention that weren’t so great: two gobs of gum on the floor by the bedside table and a broken toilet handle. Gave me a feeling of “sub standard”. But these things are hopefully addressed because everything else was good.
Now the town: we keep going back and love this place. It is beautiful, historic, so friendly. Go visit the exceptional staff at ARCH&PO. It is our new favourite. The staff are so friendly. Every food item - EXCELLENT! What an absolute jewel. The Saturday market is just lovely. The river never disappoints. The drive to Victoria Beach is beautiful through Granville Ferry. However our one huge disappointment was the restaurant Called “Crow’s Nest”. The worst fish and chips ever. The fries were over-cooked and the fish was unbelievable. Supposed to be 2-pieces. The fish was the thinnest, unbattered, fishiest, unpalatable fish I have ever experienced. Disgusting. We were looking forward to this place. But - we will never go back.

It was a beautifully appointed Inn. Kevin and Lesley were warm and welcoming and excellent cooks. The breakfasts were yummy! They were very informed about the historic significance of the area and offered many suggestions on where to visit and dine. We had a wonderful time visiting with them.

If you have been to Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario, I can tell you this town reminded me of that town very much. Very old, charmingly beautiful and well-preserved. A gem, with walking trails and a charming downtown. We tried to find a gluten-free restaurant for dinner, but being Sunday, our choices went down to zero. We drove a half hour to Digby to dine at the Fundy Restaurant which we knew to have an extensive gluten-free menu, and a great view of the harbour.
If you are looking for a restaurant in Annapolis Royal, be sure to make reservations in advance. The historic, old hotels are also highly in demand, so you need to make reservations well in advance.

A small, lovely historic town full of gorgeous, old homes.
A small, lovely historic town full of gorgeous, old homes. Founded in 1604, it is the first permanent European settlement in North America north of St. Augustine, Florida. It's located on the Annapolis River, which flows in from the Bay of Fundy, so it has some impressive tides. For its size, there are quite a few attractions, including historic gardens and Fort Anne, a 17th-century fortress.

The Bailey House was beautiful. A older house with lots of character. It is perfectly located near restaurants, shops, and the local market. Walking distance to everything. The host was fantastic. She told us about the events happening around town during our stay and offered to book us dinner reservations. The bed was very comfortable and the room had everything we needed. Breakfast was outstanding! We couldn’t be happier with our stay!
A beautifully restored house filled with Victorian antiques and interesting art including pottery works by the current owner.
Breakfasts were outstanding!
The location in Annapolis Royal is excellent with easy access to a number of good dining options. The town itself is of historic interest and has many heritage buildings. The nearby Historic Garden is superb.
The Inn keeper was very nice and accommodating. She had a talent for Interiors and particularly all the artwork at the Inn. Her place was impeccable and comfortable. It was located a wonderful little town. Suzan, the Inn keeper, made several recommendations that were spot on. The gardens on the property were wonderfully done and easy to enjoy.
Our stay was perfect in every way. Leslie and Kevin were so friendly and welcoming. The Inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas with soft music playing throughout and has a lot to offer historically as you step back in time to a different era with it's furnishings and decor. Breakfast was delicious, and served in the formal dinning room.
The house is lovely and comfortable!
Marie is a joy. She arranged a dinner reservation at Compose for us and we had a great evening! The room and bed were comfortable and the full breakfast was yummy!
After we left Marie let me know I had left a shirt in the closet. She arranged an easy pick up for me before we left town!
Thanks Marie!
Room and ensuite were comfortable, clean and though not spacious, just fine for a couple of nights. Breakfast was delicious and we spent some time in the common rooms relaxing. Great location, with easy access to Annapolis Royal by foot. Whole house nicely decorated with lots of interesting things to peruse. I would stay here again.
It is an older inn with many modern updates. Right now they give you a bagged breakfast, which had a hard boiled egg, juice, cereal bar and cheese. They had my price messed up but honoured my booking.com price and apologized. You have your own entrance which is nice, it was very quiet and the beds were super comfy.
Historic house with interesting spaces. Very friendly and kind innkeepers/chef/staff. Perfect location for exploring Annapolis Royal on foot or bike. The restaurant on site is great for breakfast, and a nice spot for dinner. Porch dining was a bonus on a pleasant evening.
Everything! Inn was super clean, breakfast was amazing, and staff were exceptional! Huge shout out to Dianne for her cheerful personality and exceptional service during breakfast ! Far better service than most restaurants ! Definitely a must on your trip to Annapolis !
Superb staff, very clean and comfortable room, excellent continental breakfast included house-made scones and English muffins, lovely salt-water pool, beautiful grounds and perfect location just a couple of minutes drive from the center of Annapolis Royal.
We stayed here for our wedding weekend, and it was absolutely perfect! The grounds were beautiful, the room was well decorated, and the staff even let us use the dining room for our rehearsal dinner. So happy with our stay here - we'll definitely be back!
This is a lovely, stately Queen Anne home with beautiful furnishings. Our room was large and quiet, with a lovely bathroom. Laszlo is a very gracious host and breakfast was superb! (I didn’t take a bathroom picture so included breakfast instead).
Breakfast was delicious. It had been thoughtfully presented. Service was excellent. Hotel staff very helpful & gave great advice for Restaurant for dinner. Loved the location. Loved the decor at the Hotel. Very welcoming.
Really enjoyed the breakfast. It was a nice touch having a full breakfast included. Rooms were very nice with all the charm of an Inn. Morning staff were great. They seemed happy, and played along with my foolishness. LOL
Breakfast was very average. There was no choice and what was offered had been cooked earlier and kept hot. This was the main disappointment we had. Our expectations were not high and the hotel was OK.
