From walking in the door everything was great. We had booked an upstairs room and were not looking forward to lugging our suitcases up the stairs. We were offered a better room downstairs for the same price. The host had a map available and pointed out some places of interest, so we could get going straight away. The room was beautiful with very nice touches, It was comfortable and clean. In the evening we used the lounge and because we were the only ones there, we were quite comfortable. In the morning we had the most delicious 3 course breakfast, all home made and fresh and well balanced. When we left we got some more tips for on the road. All in all, a very memorable stay.

Canning is a small town and is perfect to get away from the crowded streets of Wolfville which is a short drive away. We ate at Dickie-Baxter Taproom and were impressed with the quality of the meal. I want to return to try Cider House Fish and Chips and the Artistic restaurant next door. If it was summer, we would have walked to the ice cream shop down the street. It's like a walk back in time . . With really good food
