Impeccably well maintained and clean, Staff were excellent. Close to everything. We are an older couple , to see the younger families with their kids laughing and playing on the playground brought back many memories. We had a great weekend.

Since I was bringing my greyhound along on my latest Newfoundland adventure, pet-friendly Out East immediately went to the top of my list. On a previous visit to the province, I'd fallen in love with the Bonne Bay Area, so the property's location in Norris Point was perfect for me. I booked a one-bedroom cottage, which was exactly what I was looking for. Besides the very warm welcome, our cottage was very well-appointed (a full kitchen within a compact space), clean and extremely comfortable. The cottage was also appropriate for folks with mobility issues: there was a ramp up to the door/ open space and wide doorways within/ grab bars in the bathroom, etc.
Located in Norris Point, Gros Morne BaseCamp provides accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and sea views.

Comfortable, well equipped cabin which had been pre warmed for our arrival as weather was still cold in late May. Friendly interaction with owners. Quiet, pretty harbour location and convenient for hiking in Gros Morne park. Good eating out options locally at the Old Store Cafe (snack), Chanterelles (fine dining) & The Black Spruce (fine dining).

It was a comfortable space with everything we needed. Decent location, although not right in the “downtown” core of Rocky Harbour.
Lobster point lighthouse is a worthwhile museum to check out as is the short beach hike. Very beautiful with a unique surprise at the end.

Beautiful hiking although the wind in the Tablelands was incredibly strong. The trail goes to the end of the valley. While it is possible to hike to the top, the trail, if it exists, is not marked.
The Lookout Trail, which begins at the Discovery Centre, is a long slog and the views would have been incredible at the top had the cloud and rain not obscured it. However, you have to expect variable weather in Newfoundland and enjoy those days when it is clear.
