The location was very beautiful at the bay. And quiet. The swimming pool was cold, but still the kids liked it. The room was fine for the 4 of us. The bathroom was a bit small.

The Montague Rose Inn was the perfect place to stay in St Andrews! The rooms were clean and perfectly designed and the family who owns it was so nice and welcoming. In our brief time there, we enjoyed Carmen's Diner twice: a friendly place to eat home style. It's a small town, so not a lot of "tourist" shops. Some beautiful scenery with water all around.

We had one whole day in the village of Saint Stephen and were so lucky to hit the weather just right, so we went whale watching for 3 1/2 hours and saw humpback and minke whales, harbor seals and dolphins, eagles, and many more shore birds. We had dinner at the Gables Restaurant afterwards as we watched both the sunset and tide fall some 25 ft! What a perfect day that we will never forget!

Town is 20 yrs behind modern time.

Town is 20 yrs behind modern time. No decent motel accommodations, limited dining options, Pub closes nightly at 11:00pm. Crossing International Bridge into USA is a hassle, if you reside outside of St.Stephen. Provincial sales tax, makes visiting in NB very expensive.

The staff are the most approachable and friendly people I have encountered out of all the hotels I've ever stayed at. The room was clean and reasonably priced. The location is close to restaurants, grocery, parks, ideal for exploring by car or on foot.
