Second stay here as frist hotel I booked got sold or something. Excellent room with view to die for. I upgraded at booking and so worth it. Please pick the newer building if staying there. Entrance via store front but room so much better and worth the price. Location is in the center of town on the water by the pier. Lots of eagles, seals and friendly people. Love this town. Passed on free breakfast love some local spots instead. Checkin staff remembered us from last trip or had good CRM system.

An oasis of calm and peace amid the hurly-burly of travel. Clean comfortable and just what was needed with no bother, and scope for relaxation. Quite excellent, I commend it to others who wish a break.

We only spent one day in Sidney, BC. Brunch at Five & Dime, great food, very friendly servers, clean place. Visited John Dean Provincial Park, the trails were well marked and full of all kinds of mushrooms, very fun and interesting. Had coffee at The Serious Cafe, good coffee. Walked to Lochside Waterfront Park, didn't get to see much stores since most of them were closed at 5pm. Visited DGD Gift store, small store with a good collection of gifts. The part of Sidney we saw is clean, peaceful and safe.

Sidney is just a delightful town with a lovely shoreline and easy walking areas. The Beacon Inn is a perfect accommodation for staying in Sidney. It’s warm, friendly and so comfortable as a destination. Great restaurants and breweries are about the town and we enjoyed them tremendously. We will certainly visit again but stay longer to relax and enjoy more of its’ amenities and natural surroundings.

I love walking around Sydney, boutiques, beaches and restaurants. The closeness to the Airport and Ferry terminal is a bonus. Sunday night things close early or are not open just so you know. We ate at the Bistro Restaurant and it was excellent.

It was a relaxing place to stay while we got settled in to our new home in Sidney. I didn't have time to experience all the wonderful things about Sidney but now that I live here it will be fantastic place to explore. We often drove to Sidney from Duncan just to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of Sidney. This is why when we downsized we moved here and have a place overlooking the water. Beautiful in deed!!!

Great location.
Great location. Great shopping and restaurants and harbour right there. We met friends at the Surly Mermaid- good restaurant on the waterfront.Grocery store and liquor store next door. We walked everywhere.
This is a somewhat older hotel located on the south side of Sidney BC. It is is in a lovely location with beautiful views of the straights and the islands and adjacent to a park. It is 10 minutes walk from downtown and very close to the San Juan Islands ferry. The staff were welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable with a well stocked kitchenette. The sink and mirror were located outside the bathroom itself which was practical for us with three adults in the room.
Very pretty and elaborately decorated interior, nice grounds. Feels secluded in the trees, but is an easy 30-min walk to centre of Sidney. Room was cozy. Fancy breakfast was included. Staff are pleasant.
The TV in the room can play music from a streaming service, set to soft jazz when we arrived. I was pleased to find a station called Jammin', and enjoyed an extensive playlist of reggae & ska the rest of our stay.
There is a small dog park very close by.
Convenient to Sidney & Victoria. Lovely home with comfortable accommodations & nice views to the beach. Wendy is extremely friendly & available to guests; engaging conversationalist. Breakfast was very nice, great flavour on the omelet & nicely presented. The table was set beautifully. We had a very enjoyable stay & would definitely book again.
Received best customer service to date from Karen H at the front desk. She was so helpful and friendly - remembered our names as we came and went. Hotel had Air conditioned rooms ! Comfy beds
Room was spotless ( it was a pet friendly room )
Everything you could need within walking distance .lots of parking . Looking forward to our next stay
The Beacon Inn is a really gem, charming and well decorated property with incredible staff and free parking. My husband and I drove to Sydney, BC as part of our way to Vancouver, BC and ended up adding an extra night in the city to enjoy the great atmosphere and the impeccable Inn. Would definitely recommend!
Place very comfy that we could have family to share meals and games so made it very special to have us all visit in a space we could enjoy all together. was close to all the shops and the shoreline walk was not far away. For a stay in Sidney,
I would say top notch.
Location was perfect for accessing everything in downtown Sidney, and for walks on the waterfront. Also great access to the airport. Everything was very clean in the apartment. Lots of storage space, although not really needed for short stays.
Pet friendly and great location, right on the waterfront. Free parking. We even got a little breakfast basket of yoghurt, fruit and coffee. Some kind of cold breakfast wraps that we didn’t try.
Easy. We wanted to stay near the airport for a morning flight. We left the hotel, returned a rental car and got to the airport all in under half an hour. The hotel was nicer than expected.
Not your ordinary hotel stay with breakfast included...this place was much better. The choices of breakfasts were great, the people running it were amazing and location was beautiful.
Property is very close to the ferry and downtown Sidney. Everything was clean, and well decorated! Breakfast was served each morning right on time at 8am and was delicious.
