The owner is a lovely person, and the rooms are super good, clean and 10/10, ours had even its own fridge for long stays.
It offers a breakfast for €6 that is really worth it and with many options to choose from. The location is also very good and connects with the main roads.

Donauwörth is a small town with a charming city center that can be explored in about an hour. The town features 4-5 delightful bridges and scenic viewpoints. We had a lovely room/studio on the top floor in the rear building away from the main road. It was quiet. The location of the hotel is very good. We enjoyed a nice breakfast with a good range to choose from. The staff were very nice and helpful. There are plenty of good restaurants in the town, particularly on the "island" part of town. The rooms were clean, spacious and everything that we needed was there. The car park was free and easy to park. The hotel is situated a bit away from the city so you have to take the car if you want to visit the city but that was fine with us. Overall, we had a good stay. The hotels name and photos don't do justice to the hotel in my opinion. I really think it is a great hotel (I don't know why they call it boarding house ... )

Delicious cooked vegetables (different kinds!), loads of müesli, different breakfast buns, and also cakes, panna cotta and tiramisu! The room itself and bathroom is ok :) Small fridge for drinks. Nice staff. No problem to check in after the reception is closed - I arrived at 22:00, and could still check in, with help from the restaurant :D Good location next to a small city quare.

Breakfast was very good and the room was comfortable. Grocery store right across the street and you can even purchase a meal and then use the microwave to eat in the dining area of the hotel.
