This was a charming experience.It was as though one were back in the time of Frederick the Great and Maria Theresa of Austria.The rooms are decorated with memorabilia of a bygone age.We breakfasted in a room which transported us back to olden times and the hotel's proprietess served us a bountiful and delicious breakfast. For those wishing to experience the nostalgia of staying in an Odenwald inn we heartily recommend the Roter Löwe.

A lovely breakfast buffet. Very close to the S-Bahn and there are some wonderful trails to hike up the mountainside. The room was spacious and clean.

Staff were very accommodating. Location and atmosphere of this place are virtually unmatched! Breakfast was great, staff had no problem delivering it to the suite and were right on time. Jacuzzi was really nice in sunny weather and private setting (private garden) and the pleasant staff were very accommodating in preparing it for us and, honestly, in all of our wishes they were just very helpful. This is mostly aimed towards being a residence (long-term stays), and despite the fact that we only stayed there for one night, the stay/staff were impeccable. The residents of the place that we ran into were pleasant and chill. There were some nice supercars parked in the lot which I assume belonged to them.

Apart from the bedroom being a bit chilly everything else was more than perfect. Such a peaceful location with beautiful surroundings and real good value for money. We took the half board option and both the 3 course evening meals and breakfasts were fabulous. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the robo-cat waiter who delivered your meals caused some hilarity. Would honestly stop at Zum Weissen Lamm again.
