    If you love winter sports, in particular biathlon then...

    If you love winter sports, in particular biathlon then Oberhof is the place for you. Also it's ideal for hiking and cycling especially along the Rennsteig. Ideally is best to have a car. The location of the Obere Schweizerhütte was right next to the bobsleigh, luge and skeleton runs. The cable car to the top was amazing and once at the top you're at the biathlon stadium. You xan also have a shooting experience.

    The location was incredible and so was everything else in the hotel. There were lots of activities to be done by both kids and adults. We as a family enjoyed many events including laser shooting, pool, chess game, play area and general walk around the hotel. The breakfast was very wide, with a special area for kids to take their own breakfast (everything was at their eye level). A real family experience. Wish we had taken it for longer duration.

    The very friendly proprietor welcomed us off the trail and showed us immediately to our room, leaving us to do the paperwork at our leisure. The room was very large and had a couch, table, and chairs as well as the beds, and fans as well. The bathroom was nicely done. Breakfast was good. Best part of all -- light-blocking window shades! (Incredibly, the only ones we had in a week of hotels along the Rennsteig).

    Family oriented with small apartment like rooms. Small kitchen which was nice. Great breakfast. The staff was wonderful. One of the managers there spoke Czech, which was nice for us since our German is passable but it made it much easier. They have a nice sauna as well and are centrally located in Oberhof. This was our second time staying there for training in the indoor Nordic center.

    Handily placed a short walk from town centre and for walks around the Oberhof area. Plenty of free parking front and back. Studio was comfortable and clean with plenty of space for 2 people. A lovely place for a quiet, relaxed, outdoor holiday.

    Lovely, clean and spacious hotel. Nice, comfortable rooms, good bathroom. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Excellent bar and restaurant area, great outdoor space and seating area. Massive carpark. Within walking distance from village.

    The breakfast is really nice and having a pool in the hotel is very convenient. There are some good activities for the children. The location is good for walking trails. The restaurant in the hotel serves good food for a fair price.

    The indoor playground was very good. The minigolf was also very good and fun. There were many possibiities of playing with the kids in the outside area of the hotel. There are a lot of cool places that you can visit in the region.

    This was a big surprise. The room (and the hotel) actually looked like in the photos, was really comfortable and well-equipped. I couldn't believe how cheap it was, especially in its location!
