Good value. Unique setting, remote but with easy access to main routes. The location is beautiful, the residential buildings and courtyards are perfect and tranquil. It's a small 17th century property so don't expect 'concrete tower' technical performance. Really liked the restaurant menu - local sourcing with rustic twist but big big starters.

The location is amazing and the houses are beautifully traditional.
We ended up staying in the hotel itself so we had a phone signal, the staff were amazingly understanding and very helpful.

This is one of the nicest places we have stayed, ever. The setting is beautiful and the apartment a gem. Whoever chose the colours of the furnishings has a rare idea for colour. Everything was comfortable & well thought out. As an added bonus, the restaurant is just along the passageway.

I've waited some time now before writing this review because I was so angry about the stay here, I needed to calm down and not be too emotional about my review.
The only positive thing I can say is that the staff on reception are nice, polite and helpful.

This hotel is one of the very best run, most welcoming and excellent I have ever stayed in. If you measured against top London or global hotels the customer service, exceptional cuisine and room comfort would be second to non. It is built within an ancient Moorish Castle dating back to the 13th century. Sympathetically adapted with views 360o from the mountain peak, with soaring Iberian eagles .. it is breathtaking. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. I am just bewildered by it’s 3 star rating!!
the reception and breakfast is in the castle tower. the room turned out to be a house within the castle walls. two floors, kitchen, small dining table and bathroom on ground floor, bedroom upstairs. nothing fancy, but very cozy and authentic, and right across from the good restaurant, also run by the hotel. Castellar, of course, is spectacular, and you're staying IN the castle
The hotel was just perfect, and in a perfect location.
The Restaurant on site served very good food!
The starters were amazing … especially the Game Patè!! The bedroom was spotless , comfortable and the bedding and pillows were the best of any hotel I’ve stayed in .
It's quiet and nice place. Breakfast was actually great, and dining room is beautiful.
Interior of the hotel is very stylish and cozy at the same time.
Some rooms have access to the orange patio so I definitely want to come back when they are blooming.
Fantastic location, wonderfull little town within castlewalls with superb views of the countryside.
Quaint cottages to stay. Quiet, only sounds of the birds. Nice restaurant in seperate building from hotel.
Wonderful location in the Castellar Castle. A really beautiful little town and surrounding area. We enjoyed several nice hikes in the area and the hotel restaurant in town is worth a visit.
We liked the location, state of the castle and the hotel. The little village and the artists living and creating within the castle walls has been an unexpected plus during the visit.
