I loved the City it was clean and well maintained.
I loved the City it was clean and well maintained. I got lost and a kind Spanish man helped me get back on the Camino. This man walked with me for 4 kilometres until we found the Camino TRAIL. Ponferrada the City should mark the Camino trail better than they have. Even signage within the city saying “Camino that way. A few other city residents did not have a clue on how to get back to the Camino. The Knights Templar Castle was a sight to see.WilliamCanada - 10Scored 10

Wonderful Temple knights history, well described during castle visit. Impressive past and great attraction on Camino de Santiago for the thousands of Pilgrims now walking or cycling. An important part of old Spanish history.

Once you ask reception to activate the bath you can soak sore feet and muscles from walking the Camino. The location was on the Camino and a stones throw from the castle and plaza. There is so much to see and do in Ponferrada and you are spoilt for choice for places to eat and drink. We took a walk into the centre and had a Chinese meal. Wonderful place to stay, just a shame we only had one night as up early for Camino the next day. We would recommend staying for more if you have the time.KerrianeUnited Kingdom

The staff (especially Fran) were helpful and pleasant, the room & bathroom were both clean, modern and comfortable, the room was warm when we arrived (yay! many places on the Camino have been freezing cold!), it was very quiet - we didn’t hear a sound from outside or from adjacent rooms, lots of hand sanitizer around. We didn’t check out the kitchen but apparently there was a microwave available. Location is very near the old centre.

It was warm, clean and cosy. Netflix on the TV. Perfect for a rest day or two. It was a relief to be able to explore Ponferrada and also have comfort.
