The house is precisely that; a self-catering two-bed, two-bathroom over two floors, with fully equipped kitchen, fridge-freezer, oven, hob, and open-plan downstairs area to spread out. It makes a perfect base of operations for a family, couple, or a couple of pals to explore the Normandy area, be you a history buff, foodie, or a seaside junkie. The decor is full of lovely flourishes, and much care has obviously been taken with choice of colours, styling, and furnishings. It is modern, quirky, clean, with exceptionally comfortable sofas (so very comfortable). It also has a nice outdoor seating area, free parking. The house hosts were very thoughtful , making sure we had something to eat for dinner (as we arrived later in the day) and there was great communication from the owners, before, during and after our stay. The location is just yards, on foot, from Pegasus Bridge, and a very short drive from Ouistreham (boasting good restaurants, cafes, a lovely beachfront and promenade, food shops, and - of course - the ferry port).
This Best Western is located in Ouistreham, 2 km from the ferry terminal and 7 km from Normandy's famous landing beaches. Guests can enjoy the outdoor heated pool.

We didn’t have breakfast as we were leaving at 7.15 am to catch the ferry back to the UK.
We would certainly book to stay there again and liked being on the ground floor

It’s a pretty little village with one hotel, 2 high end restaurants and a patisserie. There is nothing else. It’s handy for visiting Pegasus bridge but the busses stop running at about 9am and don’t return till about 5

A nice small town made famous by the taking of the Benouville Bridge by the British Airborne glider section in WW2 (renamed Pegasus Bridge for the badge of the regiment). Excellent museum and visit the local cemetery as many WW2 British soldiers who were KIA rest there.
Hotel and room are of great character. Warm welcome and helpful considerate advice from the owner. Very comfortable spacious room.
Only 10 minutes drive from Ouistreham ferry port so was an ideal location for an overnight stay before catching the early ferry.
Perfect for staying when arriving on the 21.30 ferry. Lovely hotel and village. Breakfast good. Kettle and milk etc in room for hot drinks. We stay here every time.
