Beautiful traditional hotel set in a beautiful traditional village. Very clean, good facilities especially for myself as I am disabled. The food was very good and we had a selection of different dishes for dinner. The breakfast was good but limited ie: prepared fruit would have been nice. Nico was very friendly, efficient and attentive.

The breakfast was a wonderful spread just downstairs in the dining room. We were treated a delightful continental breakfast with fresh bread, jams, a fruit salad and some yogurt with granola. I was blown away by how pleasant this was.

The house was built nearly three centuries ago and retains the elegance and glamour of a fine home, of that era. There is plenty of parking, including immediately outside the front door.
Our landlady was warm and welcoming, a lovely person. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable, beautifully furnished to suit the period of the house. The bathroom, again spacious, had one of those footed baths that I love! it is equipped with anything a guest might need, during a stay. It is the first time, in my life, that I have felt as though I was staying in a palace.
Breakfast was good, with orange juice, croissants and bread, butter and homemade strawberry jam. Coffee or tea.

Super-friendly dog and cat. And the hosts.....! Really comfortable and personal, spacious room, exceptionally quiet in the middle of the countryside, and a good base for exploring Aubeterre-sur-Dronne and other local attractions. Also a good breakfast to start each day. We will definitely return.

We received a very warm welcome from Sonia. Our dog was welcome as well and even got her own water bowl and blanket, which was very considerate. The room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated.
Sonia booked a wonderful restaurant nearby for us and gave us some tips for the area.
A simple but very tasty breakfast with fresh croissants, bread, and homemade marmalade.
It was a pleasant stay and thanks to Sonia's hospitality, I would definitely stay here again!
