Set in Chenonceaux, less than 1 km from Château de Chenonceau and 13 km from Château d'Amboise, O'GB La Rennaissance offers a garden and air conditioning.

The owner was super-welcoming and helpful, and adapted the breakfast when he discovered I needed a gluten-free option. Really comfortable kingsize bed in a spacious room, with efficient air-conditioning. Domaine de L'Arbrelle, hotel in Chenonceaux

This lovely residence sits quietly between the famous chateaus of Amboise and Chenonceaux.

This is a very well run, comfortable, quiet hotel. We loved it, slept like logs, and were an easy drive from Amboise town centre and any number of day trips in the surrounding countryside.

Plan to spend a whole day to discover the castle and gardens. You can ask for a stamp on your wrist to leave the grounds and return within the same day, so you don't have to eat overpriced food with thousands of tourists. You can get sandwiches at the local bakery for picnic. We highly recommend taking the audio guide: it must be booked in advance, as they tend to run out of them. The audio guide has several extra recordings that provide interesting info (e.g., food in the Renaissance times, sleeping advice from Ambroise Paré, the WWI and WWII periods, etc). We stayed at the Clos Medicis: great location, great room with comfy beds. highly recommended!

The Chateau and gardens are amazing!

The Chateau and gardens are amazing! The only detraction was that our visit was on a very hot Sunday afternoon and the number of visitors made it crowded. Still, the flow of the audio tour through the Chateau moved along. The online reservation system worked fine. A huge number of kayakers and boaters in the River Cher made photo opportunities challenging. Despite these issues it was a great experience and a tremendous learning opportunity regarding the history.

The Chateau was fun and interesting, obviously old and well taken care of, and the walk through the rooms was well designed. It was crowded considering distancing requirements, but you could make your way to all the rooms without a problem. The grounds were the more interesting part of the visit and we could have spent more time exploring them. Also, if you've got time, there's a bridge down the river (east) from the Chateau and there's a number of different options for boats and canoes to see the Chateau from the river.

We took our time and visited the interior of Chateau...

We took our time and visited the interior of Chateau Chenonceau for 3 hours and exterior gardens and maze for 1.5. Can definitely spend a whole day there when the weather is nicer and flowers in bloom. Exceptionally kept and restored with an excellent audio guide. A must see even if you only have a day or two in Loire. We ate at Auberge du bon laborer amazing dinner and breakfast.

We stayed in room 427, an adorable suite in the courtyard that was perfect for a small family. Lots Of extras in the room. The grounds are beautiful and perfectly situated to tour the Loire valley. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. No money exchanged hands, food and beverages were automatically put onto your room accounts with nothing to sign and no worries, turndown and housekeeping came while you were out with no fuss. It felt like a trip back in time.

Excellent choice for everyone who wants to visit Chateau Chenonceau and is looking for superb quality of stay mixed with good price. The owner was super welcoming, room was good and comfortable. The breakfast was served with local / home-made products that tasted exceptionally good. As most will come by car - there is a good parking next to house that makes moving in and out easy.

Lovely location and hotel very clean and well kept and we had a bath.. bonus..!! We only stayed for an overnight and wish we had stayed longer to explore the area and the grounds. Hotel was very historic and definitely worth a visit. The reception has local wines to purchase, try the local Chenonceaux red. The receptionist stayed around as we were late arriving so big Thankyou.

Excellent and very good value breakfast, Isabelle and Patrick were excellent hosts, and Le Roi Coq is in a beautiful location very close to Chateau Chenonceau so a great place to stay and visit the Chateau. A tip if you want a restaurant is that they get full so booking is recommended , Isabelle and Patrick will give useful advise on which to avoid and value for money.

I loved staying at Auberge du Bon Laboureur in Chenonceau with my family and can easily say it was the best part of our ten day trip across the country. The hotel staff was so kind and welcoming, we relaxed in their pool and jacuzzi after long days sightseeing, had a wonderful dinner at their excellent bistro, it felt like home away from home.

The restaurant and staff are quite simply amazing. We came here for a couple of nights at the end of a month in France and for dinner no where else even comes close. Pure perfection and we will be back. Smiling happy staff that genuinely want to be of service is becoming a rarity these days but not so at Auberge du Bon Laboureur.

Charming and beautiful old hotel within a five minutes walk to Chenonceaux Spacious room with a very comfortable bed and a lovely little bistro set to sit outside with my coffee. I didn't get a chance to use the pool because it was raining; but the gardens were lovely. Good breakfast
