Firstly, let me say without question that the staff were very hospitable and friendly and went out of their way to help.
Furthermore, the setting is superb and there is plenty of parking, so on paper this hotel ticked all our required boxes. We did not use the spa facilities so cannot comment.

The hotel does not deserve 3 stars or 3 logis, it really needs a refresher, decoration and furniture is old and outdated (the bathroom has brown tiles probably dating from the 80's). The staff is ok but not good enough. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and found the service very slow, waitress not smiling or looking happy to serve us. We had to wait 20 minutes for our first glass. The food is average, mean meals just ok, and dessert really disappointing. The spa is small and not clean, the water in the swimming pool is so blurry you can not see through. We did not dare to go in. The pictures on booking.com are misleading.Coralie DeguentBelgium

Our rooms were excellent, and the wet room in the accessible room was one of the best my daughter has used. We enjoyed the set valentines dinner, which was delicious, but there was also a set menu of the day and a la carte to choose from, all featuring local products, as did the drinks list. The hotel is on the edge of the Vosges Forest with paths for walking and looks beautiful. We will return and try the spa and walks

What I liked this time was the new deck which was a lovely place to enjoy a cold beer after a very long drive. The family who run the hotel are always very friendly. It's my preferred location for an overnight on a long drive which I do several times a year. It's peaceful, green and away from the motorway.
