An uncomfortable room at back of hotel.
An uncomfortable room at back of hotel. Room was too hot air conditioning didn’t work and made clunking noises all night long. Positioning of beds meant when you moved in the night the pillows pushed the light switch on, obviously waking us up each time.

A very strange town architecturally.
A very strange town architecturally. Appears to have been a 1960's experiment or competition for alternative designs which have not blended or aged very well in time. Many now vacant and an eyesore. A rather neglected town including a vast dated shopping mall, again with a lot of vacant units.

Phoned staff and they arranged room entry. Motel style with rooms opening straight onto carpark. Condition of room good but quite small. Very clean. Very good breakfast with wide selection of hot and cold. Safe overnight parking. Would stay again and recommend. Wifi OK.

All staff were polite and efficient with special mention to Receptionist who spoke perfect English. Room was very comfortable and we chose a Privilege room which was well worth the extra price. We were concerned about security being near the port but the Ibis felt safe with all night staff, lighting and cameras. We took our skis in but left the boot luggage in the car. Otherwise, usual standard for Ibis Budget - cheap, no frills. Fine for overnight.
