Our expectations were low, as wel booked late and it was one of the only things that had a free room.
The hotel was a bit older as was the infrastructure. But it was really nice. Really comfortable and the staff was exceptionally nice. The hotel is in a lovely town that's easy to reach and from which you can easily go to other towns for the Wine-route.
Hôtel Ecluse 34 is located in Steinbourg, close to Saverne which is the administrative, touristic and economic centre of the region. The Marne-Rhine Canal is 140 metres away.

breakfast and dinner were very good. Near motorway so good place for stopover when travelling back to UK.

Although the breakfast is usually served from 8.00 the service managed to prepare something much earlier (due to my early departure). Very nice, friendly and helpful staff.
