The location, while quite a drive from a petrol station or supermarket, is picturesque and tranquil. The food is excellent, and our visit included a lovely continental breakfast. Great location on the edge of the cite walls, we had a view of them from our room. Small hotel but very clean and comfortable and a lovely sunny pool area which was perfect for relaxing after a days walking. It was about a 20 mins walk down into newer Carcassonne but a nice walk and a good street with lots of evening restaurant options as an alternative to the old part. I am glad we stayed in this location rather than a hotel in a different part of town, would stay again.
