great and kind people who take care of the castle. Very kind and great enthusiasts. If you want to feel a touch of the French past, this is a great place. The nature is like being in paradise. When you sleep in the rooms, you feel like you are going back 200 years. And the bathroom is excellent. The dinner was homely delicious, and the breakfast was excellent.

Its location in a tiny and typical village far from the madding crowd makes for a very quiet stay, and it is but a few minutes drive to a restaurant (or an ATM, because the owner prefers cash). It is also possible to eat something on site, but the menu is limited. Breakfast is truly superb though.
Very spacious, neat, cosy and tastefully decorated rooms, a large, tranquil - and equally tasteful - garden, an extremely enthusiastic host who talks at the rapid-fire speed we all know from the French movies, and his superbly lovely and friendly wife (who speaks at normal speed) will guarantee you’ll regret you did not book for a few days extra. The accommodation was very clean, the "ship's room" was full of nice details, you get the feeling that you are actually in the ship's cabin, which is handy when you are visiting the location for the Allied landings. The host gave us tips on what to see in the area of our travels.
