The place has been beutifully refurbished and is homely and very comfortable. The food was great and excellend value and the breakfast choices good and delicious. The staff were all very friendly and everything I wanted was available. My room (no 7) was very tiny but for me it was good, nice and quiet and a brilliantly comfotable bed and good shower. Lovely ambience, felt very special. Gorgeous double aspect room overlooking the river and bridge and beautifully furnished. Staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. Food was excellent. We enjoyed our evening meal, all 3 courses! Good wine too and reasonably priced. Lovely setting. A perfect end to our week away.
