Breakfast is good, and the staff very helpful and friendly. Mostly the room was fine. The hotel has character and an interesting history.
Perfectly located at the gates to The Cathedral Close and ten minutes to Stonehenge. The Chapter House is steeped in history and culture.

We went here for my husband's 50th birthday. There were 23 of us and we ate in their private dining room. From start to finish it was exceptional. To booking and communication for various surprises to the rooms we stayed in there that evening. The food was well priced and delicious and the breakfast in the morning was very welcome after a heavy night. Salisbury has very few good hotels, so go to this one.

Location & area, character of the place, could imagine a mill here in full swing, possible flour mill, suppose the river race passing beneath dining room was where the water wheel was located ??
Our room had nice view to river, quiet a setting.
