Nice, quiet location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very comfortable. Great shower. Complementary tea and coffee was welcome. Spacious dining room. Nice to have breakfast in the conservatory. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant and it was very good. Great choice on the evening and breakfast menus.

On travelling with my teenage son I’d mistakenly booked a room for two but only one be. The manager went above and beyond to find a room and extra bed. The bar and restaurant staff were very efficient and the breakfast was very good. Will definitely stay again

This is a wonderful traditional hotel set in a glorious location immediately adjacent to a river. It was easy to find - excellent parking. The staff team was very welcoming and very helpful. My room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and a great view of the river. It was very clean. A good television. Nice Bath-shower. The breakfast was superb. The bar is very nice and not noisy. Wild swimming half a mile away along a lovely manmade river path. I shall definitely return.

The hotel, location, local scenery and roaring log fires were all superb. Very relaxing and enjoyable.
Unfortunately we really don’t like “fine” dining and so couldn’t use the main restaurant. Dishes such as raw mackerel, eel or turnip are just not for us and I just wish they would put on a fillet steak and a fish dish for those that don’t like fine dining but do like eating in more upmarket, and more traditional, restaurants. Although there is a brasserie style restaurant it doesn't have the same ambience and we found ourselves eating out most nights.

The Abbey itself was destroyed in Henry viii's time, but half of the church was rebuilt/restored in the 10th century.
A lovely place to relax and dream.
It accommodated our three families (from 4 to 80 years old)very well. Lots of space to cook, eat, relax, play and sleep.
Nice traditional house with many original (18th C ?) features, in a quiet location but with ready access to several of the Dales iconic locations (Malham,Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Cow & Calf Rocks to name a few).
All the things we would need inc. two fridges, microwave, dishwasher, washing/drying machines
This was a short break for a Wedding Anniversary. The Hotel was excellent, giving the perfect location for visiting Bolton Abbey Estate. Breakfasts in the Conservatory were excellent. We also had meals in both Restaurants, eating out on the Patio area on a very warm evening was very welcome. Our a la carte dinner in the Burlington Restaurant was excellent.
The loveliest cottage in the more beautiful location. Had everything we needed as a family with young children and was very cosy and comfortable. Really well equipped. The setting is stunning with beautiful gardens and we had a lovely time exploring the nearby Bolton Abbey and Dales.
Loved the use of the spa was a fantastic benefit and the location; we walked from the hotel to the Abbey which was beautiful and we got engaged along the way! The welcome hamper was a fabulous touch and the bed was incredibly comfortable. All staff we encountered were super lovely.
The staff were helpful, for example I was feeling cold whilst sitting in the lounge and a member of staff went to find a rug for my knees.
The breakfast was good quality and the orange juice actually tasted of oranges.
Lovely walk from the hotel to Bolton Abbey.
Lovely stay in a great location. Cosy cottage with good facilities. Beautiful countryside right outside the door within walking distance to Bolton Abbey and short drive to Malham. Family had fun on the steamrailway which runs at weekends next to the cottage.
Loved the character and a gorgeous location. Comfy bed, beautiful decor, great bathroom, great location to Bolton Abbey, could walk from Tithe barn where we were for a wedding. Gorgeous with the river out the back and great to park.
Location perfect for a short drive to Bolton Abbey . Cottage was full of character and very interesting to read about its history . Very clean and well presented . Lovely spacious lounge . Lots of outside space to use
The cottage and location were excellent. We were there to attend a wedding at Bolton Abbey church and the Tythe Barn. It was a wonderful weekend helped by the wonderful accommodation.
It’s a beautiful building full of interesting nooks and character. There’s a spa, wonderful grounds, cocktail bar and restaurants. The hotel is also incredibly dog friendly.
A great experience and great time. Clean. Fun. More than just a hotel. The spa was amazing. The seating was sublime. Staff were a cut above what you would expect.
