Bradford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town, lots of nice canal and river walks, but the town itself, has been spoiled by heavy traffic. Still worth a visit once you're away from the traffic. We visited several national trust properties, very good base if you like to do that sort of thing.

Lovely small town in the local stone, great to walk around, although there's a big hill to get up on the way back to the digs.
We'll be coming back when we have more time so we can go for a walk along the canal.
After a longish walk, stop in the Stumble Inn for a warm welcome in a quiet pub - it's well worth it!

Walked down hill to get to the centre to find some where to have dinner on Sunday evening.
Struggled back up the hill, rather steep.
Ate at Ravello, good food.
Walked around the church area.
Sure more available other days and earlier in the day.

Lots of character and interesting shops.
Lots of character and interesting shops. Choice of eating establishments. Plenty of places for children and dogs. Parking could be a problem. Proximity to river and canal. Plenty of opportunities for walking. Narrow streets cause driving challenges! Lots of charity shops have opened in the past few years. Some interesting historical places to see.

Lots to see, most places easy to access, local artists and creators well supported, unusual and historical architecture, friendly locals, lots of amenities, dog friendly locations, regular bus and trains, lovely canal and boats, tythe barn, Saxon church, vehicular and pedestrian bridges, easy walk around the centre of the town as mainly flat (some more adventurous walks available if interested) , not too crowded (it was January) and easy to get to the centre and find parking, day trips on canal if you are not confident enough to skipper your own

Helen's breakfasts were excellent! Locally sourced sausages, bacon, eggs and all the other foods were fresh and tasty! This property is off the main road, thus very peaceful and relaxing. A great pub is only minutes away! Our room was exceptionally clean and cozy. This is an active farm, and we loved the sheep and animals nearby, with the big event being witness to a new-born lamb! If you enjoy hiking, stay here as there are so many trails to explore. Bath, Bradford, and many other sites are very close-by as well. Highly recommended!!!!
The Poolhouse was wonderfully peaceful, private and cosy for our January stay with a lovely wood burning stove and many thoughtful elements aimed at making sure guests (and any accompanying four-legged friends) had everything they could possibly need. The estate in which the little property sits is beautiful and felt deep in the countryside despite being only a few minutes’ drive from Bradford on Avon. Great shower, comfy bed, thoughtfully equipped kitchenette, super clean and with a beautiful interior. Highly recommended.
Great location near to Bradford on Avon, plenty of free parking on site. The staff were super friendly & helpful, our room 226 was in the coach house , spacious with a comfy king size bed , good bathroom & tea & coffee provided.
Breakfast was served in a lovely conservatory overlooking the well tended gardens, well worth the £10, everything freshly cooked to order from an extensive menu & served by charming smiling waitresses. Highly recommend this hotel, we will be back .
Wish I had planned my whole trip around staying here. So gracious and welcoming, such a little slice of heaven. Bradford on Avon is delightful and well worth a visit. Bath is a 20 min direct train ride away. Stone Henge is a stone's throw away. There are numerous walking, boating, and biking opportunities and great restaurants. The room itself was immaculately clean and comfy with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast choices are varied and all delicious.
Rubbish property. it’s not a hotel just few rooms with a pub. The pictures are mis leading. We have been told no reception we will be locked whole night in one small building . The property is in forest, rubbish and arrogant owner . not sure howcome Booking.com rating is 8+ . I have been cheated by the property owner and Booking.com
We've just come home from a stay at this beautiful apartment in the centre of Bradford on Avon. It was fantastic, great location, cosy and warm, the bed was soooo comfy and it had everything we needed!! There was also plenty of room for a travel cot in the bedroom which was a bonus! Thankyou so much for a lovely stay! :)
A lovely, quiet location.Which is just what we required, baring in mind it was Easter Weekend.
The town of Bradford on Avon was only minutes away and the centre of Bath 7/ 8 miles. Both easily reached via the local bus service.
Cherie, the owner was so nice and the accommodation was perfect.
We had a fantastic weekend.
Staff was very friendly and polite. We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was really nice and well cooked.
The room and bathroom were very clean. I like the fact that they are trying to be eco friendly. Location was perfect for us, 4 minutes drive to Bradford on Avon and 20 minutes to Bath.
The Swan is close to everything one could want or need in Bradford on Avon. The gorgeous River is right outside the back of the establishment and is surrounded by lovely shops and restaurants. It's also a very short walk to the train station. It was clean and the staff was very friendly.
Wonderful cottage on a country road a few minutes from Bradford on Avon. The host couldn’t have been more welcoming and eager to provide for our needs. The beds were super comfy and the bathrooms were excellent with lots of water pressure in the showers.
The Hall a beautiful historic building set in its own grounds, located in the centre of Bradford on Avon. it makes a wonderful base from which to tour the surrounding area. Our room was large, comfortable and exquisitely furnished.
This is a quirky four room hotel in the centre of town, above a pub. Our room was large, airy, and comfortable. The free breakfast consisted of a bottle of fresh milk, a box of cornflakes, and bottle of juice. Not bad!
The shepherd huts excellant, we loved our time on the farm. Peaceful, quiet, tranquil.
Our hut was near the woodlands. Loads of bird life. Lovely local walks. Facilites great. Close to the village of Bradford on Avon.
It’s a lovely hotel with a beautiful setting. The staff very friendly & helpful - particular shout out to Olivia in the restaurant whose sunny disposition even put a smile on my husband’s morning grumpy face!
Location was very good and the gardens nice to relax in. Dining experience was very enjoyable. Bradford on Avon a great place to visit and there is some nice walking near the twon/on the way in.
