One Drake Road, Tavistock, Devon, hotel in Brentor

One Drake Road provides a Bed and Breakfast offering a drawing room, family kitchen, courtyard garden and self catering two bedroom apartment.

Excellent location within a short walk to the town centre. Funky but stylish interiors which were a lot of fun. Didn't have breakfast as was too early for us. Bathroom was tight but functional. All was spotless.

Hotel Endsleigh, hotel in Brentor

Located in Milton Abbot, 14 km from Morwellham Quay, Hotel Endsleigh provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

On a road trip through Devon and Cornwall to see gardens and historic homes, we found the grounds and the common rooms of the hotel to be lovely. Keep in mind - those are free to see and do not require an expensive stay. A few glitches during the stay were later written to the hotel management who took the time to respond with apologies for the concerns and used those to help prepare for future guests. I would suggest taking the time to look at the website for room choices and consider booking directly with the hotel where staff can answer questions on costs, accommodations and expectations.

Tavistock House Hotel, hotel in Brentor

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Tavistock House Hotel offers accommodation in Tavistock. Every room comes with a flat-screen TV. Certain units have a seating area for your convenience.

Service was top notch from the off. I was greeted at the door following parking. Breakfast was easy to book. Recommendations were given for food and I was extremely grateful for this as the pub I visited was incredible. Rooms are spotless and breakfast set me up for the day. Don't be put off by not having a cooked breakfast. Fruit and coffee was exceptional. Everything was spot on. Very quiet and Brad was very sociable when it mattered. The room and hotel itself is spotless and maintained to a very high standard. I was worried about parking but there was plenty of spaces. Didn't need car charging but it was offered to me and available.

Bedford Hotel, hotel in Brentor

On the edge of Dartmoor National Park, The Bedford Hotel is located in the town of Tavistock. It offers Wi-Fi, fine dining, and modern rooms with flat-screen TVs.

The location - situated practically in the middle of the town. Inside, the room was spacious and the breakfast selection excellent. An odd, but not unpleasant choice of background music in the restaurant at breakfast was pop-reggae (think Bob Marley etc.). Staff were attentive, polite and reserved, as expected in a hotel of this calibre; there was a rather old-world ambiance, reflected in many of the other guests...

The Arundell, hotel in Brentor

Set in Lifton, 6.3 km from Launceston Castle, The Arundell offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant.

Full English Breakfast properly cooked fresh to order. Exceptional food both in the restaurant and the bar. Lovely old reading room with a variety of battered old leather seats - all supremely comfortable. Lots of reading material. Bedrooms lovely. The staff, without exception, were unfailingly polite, helpful and welcoming. Fly fishing tuition is available and recommended - at a price which is a little steep but worthwhile.

The cottage is very rural with lovely views. We came here for a family wedding in a village close by so it was the ideal location for us. We were only there for a weekend so didn't have time to explore the local area. The cottage is well equipped and the beds were comfy. Phone signal and wifi not great but OK for us. Debbie the host was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.

    A nice olde self-catering unit.

A nice olde self-catering unit. Really quiet, really comfy beds, good heating and shower. A very welcoming and communicative host (Debbie). The bedroom is the living room, so sitting on the small sofa doesn't work for watching tv. The cooker is small and a bit limiting, but otherwise the kitchen and dining area are well equipped, including a microwave, and fridge (with freezer compartment). The wifi is unfortunately very poor. We enjoyed our 2 night stay.
