This is a poor relation to Scarborough but it does have some charm in the form of the small harbour and some vibrancy with the shows on at the Plaza. It is not a rowdy place and tends to get ready for closing by ten so don't expect a late night fish n chip supper. There are a decent number of places to eat but not a great number of places to park so leave the car at the hotel if you can - walking distance to beaches etc is not arduous.
Whitby is nearby and worth a visit but go early morning to avoid the crowds, especially in the summer season. Beaches at Brid are mostly
clean and the wind from the sea is less cutting than that at Skegness but you might still want a wind breaker!!

A day on the beach and dip in the sea weather permitting.

I have not visited Bridlington for many years and it's a typical English resort. For me, it's more suited for families with young children as it has great beaches. There's a tourist train that runs along the seafront and it was full so it's popular with visitors. Bridlington can be a good base too for days out to other resorts such as Filey, Hornsea and Flamborough Head.

Traditional seaside resort with evidence of more effort put into it, a harbour and a huge beach. Wide range of independent shops and cafes/pubs/restaurants, great cliff walks and RSPB Bempton a couple of miles North. Massive sea bird colonies.

We visited for the Race to the Waves weekend, it was very well organised. Bridlington town was nice, it also had a few places we could take our dog - eg cafes/restaurants.
Old town is also worth a visit
The location was amazing on the sea front and not even a 2 minute walk into the town!
owners were so friendly, helpful, welcoming and the room was a cute seaside theme and different compared to a boring hotel room. You look out the window and see the sea which is perfect. your own parking space which was an amazing BONUS as main issues with other accommodations never have parking.
Will be coming back! Thank you X
Excellent, what's more to say
Welcoming proprietor easygoing
Bar area, with pool table, uses of swimming pool if you want to use it
Private car park
Full English breakfast, etc etc
Meals served in the evening
Only stayed overnight and would use it again if in this area Bridlington
Thay also have good contact with local taxi firm to get too and from central Bridlington
Everything, friendly and I'm talking genuine friendly you will have to go a long way to find hospitality in a way I've never received from just an ordinary b& b hotel. Clean, tidy, well looked after place. Gifty and Sonia you made it so secure and comfortable for our 11 year old boy who has autism. Strongly recommended this humble find. The swallow Hotel, Bridlington.
Well The Breakfast Was Amazing 10/10,The Hotel & The Room Was Spotless,The Location Is Great Close To The Promenade The Owners Are Great Hosts Very Friendly & Welcoming.

Terry & Shelly.
The lodges were beautiful, with gorgeous scenery and it was an extra bonus that our lodge was right next to the lake so we woke up to the ducks near us. The location was perfect, Bridlington south beach was only a few minutes away. The Luxury Lodges came with hot tubs which were really nice and we all very much enjoyed.
Good location just one street back from the sea front. Breakfast was very good plenty of choice. Only £3 parking charge for whole stay just outside the Hotel or very close by. We had a good sized well equipped room without a view which was a bit cheaper as we were out most of the time.
My needs were fully satisfied, for a one-night stay for a football match between Bridlington Town and (my team) Brighouse Town (West Yorkshire). The central location was ideal, as were the public transport connections. The Brunswick Hotel will definitely feature in my future plans.
Lovely hotel. Well positioned near to lovely beach and only ten minutes walk from 'centre' of town. Staff very welcoming. Room and all of hotel clean and tidy. Breakfast buffet beautifully presented and hot breakfast spot on. Thanks to Tim and crew for a delightful stay.
Most unusual decor, warm and comfortable with a brilliant breakfast and lovely hosts. So many extras, satin dressing gowns, slippers, lots of toiletries. Would not hesitate to recommend it and will go to Bridlington just to go there again.
This is a great place to stay in Bridlington. It’s lovely and clean, and super-convenient with parking outside and only a short walk in to town. The hosts are really friendly and helpful, and breakfast was fabulous. We’ll be back!
Location was awesome. Set in countryside but only a short walk into Bridlington
Internet faultless
Property good, if not a little quirky - but comfortable.
Right on the sea front, lovely clean rooms, friendly helpful staff, great food and a fantastic bar, free parking, cracking breakfast. perfect seaside hotel
Location was excellent 2 mins from seafront and centre of promenade, Tesco express close by, plus plenty of restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
