Very comfortable property. The owner left lots of food for us, so we don't need to go to a supermarket on the first day. The property was very clean and comfortable. The view from the lounge was really nice. Lots of birds coming to the garden. We really enjoyed the stay.

The location was perfect for visiting Buxton, which is beautiful.
The hotel was much better than we anticipated. We have stayed at Britannia Hotels in the past which have not been too good, but the Palace Hotel was beautiful. The room was spacious, nicely decorated, and the bathroom was huge. We only had breakfast in the hotel which had everything you would expect on the self serve buffet, and it was hot. The dining room was lovely, only criticism was, there was no coffee machine, just Nescafé sachets to add boiling water to.
All the staff were very pleasant. Special shout out to the young lady in the bar area on Saturday morning. We were having a rest on the setters as my husband was a bit under the weather. She was very kind and offered us a drink, and had a little chat with us.
I would definitely recommend this hotel

The room and bathroom had clearly been recently refurbished and was excellent with double aspect windows. It just needed blackout blinds as the white Venetian blinds did not cut out the early morning sunlight. The location was excellent as we were there for a performance at the Opera House.

My first time not living in a city center. If you are looking for a classic english countryside living this is the place for you. Beautiful hills and smaller farming villages nearby. The hotel even has its own eggs and very near hiking trails and an active watermill. Wonderful staff and one of the better places i have been to so far.
A plus is that there is plenty space to park and the breakfast was great

The location is perfect for central Buxton and situated in a beautiful historic area. Breakfast is able to be purchased as an extra from the lovely tearooms and was delicious. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Staff are super helpful and friendly. We were in the Dome room in the converted eaves of the building, and the low ceilings and roof trusses were ok for us but some taller people may struggle.
