No breakfast offered in this location but complimentary breakfast cereal bars and tea bags etc provided.
Lovely beamed decent sized room, self controlled heating/Aircon unit, comfortable bed, good bathroom (extractor fan broken).
Food in restaurant/pub very good, large variety - reasonable price for the quality and quantity but not cheap. Plenty of garden seating.
Location very close to town and river walk.
I would recommend this Inn.

There was nothing to like, I wasn't given the password, I arrived and stayed outside for more than half an hour, he asked me for my Edi as soon as I gave him my Ed, he saw that I was Brazilian, he already said that I I couldn't receive men and he didn't even know if I was going to receive people, what was I doing in the city? He didn't give me the password. I climbed more than six stairs with my suitcases when I got there, my knee was injured. I asked him to cancel it. He didn't cancel and never gave me the password, so like losing, I lost my money,
Chelmsford has good shops and restaurants. When we travel down by train we have easy access around places using the bus service. Train and bus stations or taxis are easy to get to. One of our favorite places to eat was the indian restaurant in Moulsham street.

Chelmsford is a lovely, friendly city with a great atmosphere. Shopping is a dream here and the old buildings in it give it character and charm. It is also clean and tidy. Can't wait to go back. Public transport is very good.

Great fun for the hen do!
Great fun for the hen do! The best taxi firm in Essex we found, after a lot of hassle from others, was ‘Your Cabbie’. Graham was our driver and was our knight in shining taxi! 01245 354040, highly recommend!

Having lived in Chelmsford since 1960 i have seen lots of changes, i have now moved away but still go back to visit family, it is a lovely town with lots of nice shops and plenty of places to eat. There is a Cathedral in the centre of town which is worth going to see.Not much more to say except that it is a good place to visit if you are in nearby Colchester and the coastal towns of Clacton Walton and Frinton.
so pleasantly surprised! the place was so clean, really good quality and the amenities is awesome, it has everything, even a washing machine.
this place is the combo between the best thing about a hotel and a flat.
the interior is really cozy and pretty, and it's so spacious. i felt right at home - it's way better than my own place so i just wanted to stay!
there's a Tesco's express right across the street, and it's literally in the middle of chelmsford plus moulsham street has a lot of good restaurants
1) The booking attracted a discounted rate. The location suited us as it was fairly close to family who live near by.
2) The bedding appeared to be clean, though we were reluctant to check beneath the pillow & mattress protectors!
3) Sufficient utensils and crockery.
4) There is a bus stop outside the property should you wish to visit Chelmsford town centre.
5) Co-Op around the corner to buy essentials.
6) This is a good sized property. It could be significantly improved without too much expense.
This property is beautifully located by the River Chelmer in an upmarket development a few minutes walk just outside of Chelmsford city centre. The apartment is in a brand new development with modern furnishings, comfortable beds and sofa. Everything was exquisitely clean with adequate toilet roll etc. The host was very helpful and approachable and a pleasure to deal with. All pictures matched the apartment and was not dated or innacurate. Highly recommended!
Cannot fault the hotel although we only stayed one night as we were in Chelmsford for a funeral, the hotel was perfect close to the city. We often visit Braintree which requires an overnight stop in a Premier Inn (convenient to our friend who lives nearby.) In our future visits we think it will be worthwhile traveling extra distance to Ivy Hills Hotel for its extra excellent comfort and lovely breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Ashley was there to help us when we checked in made sure we had absolutely everything we needed. The place was spacious and well appointed. We had a great time. It's just a short walk to the station from the flat, and it's right in Chelmsford city centre so there was plenty of food and such within a few yards of the building really.
Spotlessly clean.
Great staff.
Amazing room in terms of decor and history of the building.
Great facilities in the room that you would need to relax and for a business trip.
Dulco coffee machine.
You will be at the back of the building for all rooms, so not noisy that way.
Massive rooms.
The location was fantastic, it was right beside the bus station.
The beds were so comfortable, the apartment was spotless and the hosts were extremely accomodating. I will definitely stay here again when I revisit Chelmsford
The rooms are amazing! Full of character and really spacious. Bed was a good size and comfortable, Bath & Shower which is getting rarer! Didn't eat or drink here due to meeting up with a friend in Chelmsford
Really good location. A really different way to stay overnight, rather than a hotel room. The boat had everything you needed.
Will definitely booking again.
