Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely conservatory and garden area. Didn't eat there so cannot comment on food. Great location for River Wye walks and pubs. Bed comfortable. Clean room. Not a modern hotel but very nice

So pleased to stay with other guests at the same wedding and being accommodated as a group. Well organised and helpful staff. Thanks for providing the evening buffet and breakfast - proved really popular. Overall the rooms are bright and generous. Even family rooms made available for those with children.

Clearwell is a quiet village and the local amenities are just a short drive from Clearwell. Unfortunately Clearwell Castle is not open to the publikc but you can drive up to take a quick picture. The local pubs where closed due to COVID so do your researech for places to drink and eat. Puzzlewood was an unexpected surprise and is good for families, friends & couples. Shooting with DBC Leisure is a must - the hosts are great instructors.

Delightful hotel, wish we could have stopped longer. Little touches like blankets for sitting outside, umbrellas for walking back to the rooms, board games to play were very thoughtful. Some attractions such as Puzzle Wood and Clearwell Caves are within easy walking distance but when you get near them they are all on a main road without a footpath. We walked to Puzzle Wood with four children and decided not to go in by the main entrance as it involved a stretch of busy road.
