Cookham Dean is a delight. Very pretty old village in a very green setting. Several pubs, including one owned by the community, very dog friendly and lots of long grass so they clearly care about the environment. Plenty of walking possible and all facilities available in Cookham.

Try the restaurant at the Mole and Badger, it may not look much at first but the food was brilliant. We wished we had, had longer to enjoy our meal! (Our commitments, no fault of the hotel) Lots of lovely looking pubs around. A great place for walking with or without dogs. The room was so nicely appointed. We loved the big, luxurious bath in the bedroom and the great shower the following morning. In the Summer, the pool must be lovely so we will probably return to enjoy it! The lady who greeted us on arrival was very friendly, and made sure we had food and drinks which she delivered to our room (even though we had a late check-in). The food was also very nice. The room had a large TV with Netflix which we used and dressing gowns which was useful.
