Location smack in city Center,5 mins walk from Restaurants and shops and has its own free car park at rear(off Mary Street). - very large rooms very comfortable beds and nice bathrooms- lots of beautiful Victorian features in the 2 nd dining room and the staff were very friendly and helpful-Breakfast were buffet style and very good with large selection of hot and cold dishes.for £10.00.-rooms were that good value that I initially used it for half way overnight stop on way to Inverness and had booked 2 nights in Dumphries in a Travel Lodge on way back,1 week later but County Hotel was so good we cancelled the Travelodge and booked the Sunday and Monday nights on our return.-Which we enjoyed just as much as our first visit 1 week earlier.(early May 2024)
