Upgrade the beds. We paid for a Delux room but the beds were distinctly cheap pine with cheap mattresses. They need a topper on. Way too hard. I had to get in the bunk bed in the end but didn’t get and sleep and this was the same type of mattress. The sofa in the room was bottomed out so couldn’t sit on it, it had a big dip in the middle making us fall into each other. The pine furniture needed to be revarnished. Clearly all worn away

I was immediately given help with my luggage as I am elderly. I was also helped the following morning with my luggage.
There was everything in the room that I required for a one night stay. The room was clean and the bed linen good.

Lovely stay in rural Norfolk. The room was large and bed comfy. Delicious and hot Full English in the old mill itself. Amazing building and greeted by Paul, the head chef and 'entertainment' manager. Nice to be served by a happy face who made you feel like a valued customer.
Just a heads up, we didn't eat at the adjoining Indian Restaurant, which is a separate business. But if you enjoy Indian Cuisine, by the number of cars in the car park it must be excellent.
If you're not a fan, then the town of Dereham is only just over a mile away.
Built on the site of Barnyards Mill over 100 years ago, this guesthouse is set 5 minutes’ walk from Dereham town centre. It offers free WiFi and cosy rooms.

Fabulous accommodation, we stayed for 10 days whilst moving house and we were glad to have found this property. Everything we needed and more was in the lodge , bed was super comfy , owners on site and really friendly and helpful. Quiet location and in short walking distance to shops. Can highly recommend this little lodge.

i liked that the hotel was only round the corner from all the shops and family as that's the reason for the visit to see family also if you wanted to visit the cinema that's just 5 min walk away, you also have a night club near by .We visited a local Indian called Spice Fusion which was really good and worth a visit for a change of food.

Like most small towns nowadays, the centre of East Dereham was starting to look very run down and there were a lot of closed shop fronts. There may be a few historic buildings to look at but walking to them was less than inviting down some of the side streets

East Dereham is a pleasant little town in mid-Norfolk.
East Dereham is a pleasant little town in mid-Norfolk. It is handily situated for travel to the two main towns in the county, Norwich and Kings Lynn. The scenic north coast and resorts are all within a day trip distance, where you can find golden beaches, family amusements and the British seaside experience.
There are plenty of eateries and takeaways in the town centre and a fair selection of other shops, including a thriving Wetherspoon bar; all within walking distance for all abilities.
The George hotel offers well-priced breakfasts; average priced evening meals and has a large car park for patrons. I had an enjoyable stay there for two nights.

The metro night club was quite loud to be brutally honest.
The metro night club was quite loud to be brutally honest. Friday & Saturday night. But we have stayed before during the week and it’s been a really nice stay. Can’t fault the staff always amazing. But something needs to be done about the nightclub honestly. We stayed in room 205 for three nights every night wasn’t great but the staff made up for it. Ps. I slept but my partner heard the Macarena at two in the morning and wasn’t impressed. lol
We were very impressed with this hotel. Staff were pleasant, informative and just so helpful. Nothing was a bother for them.
This included the bar staff and waitress staff. We both had a light evening meal which was absolutely delicious. Our room was spotless, comfortable and pleasant. We will use this Company again on our travels. We have never used them before.
Our thanks to all the staff at the Dereham Hotel. You were brilliant.
Breakfast was excellent. Dinner also very good. Service prompt and cheerful.
The room had Air-Conditioning! The Hotel was too warm, but this we set to 19°C, it got there eventually, a little noisily, but it was COMFORTABLE - unlike many hotels without Air-Con, which are also Too Warm.
Good location for visiting places in East Dereham, all within easy walking distance.
Very clean, beautiful little property. I wanted more than just a hotel room due to having my 7yo and my 1yo with me. Lovely little touches like the sweeties & milk etc. The apartment was just what we needed! Comfortable beds, parking space right out front which is so helpful with children, nice layout! Thankyou for having us!
I've stayed at a number of hotels and this is one of my favourite, quite location clean and very helpful. We'll worth the money. The Indian restaurant near was also great and literally a short walk. Will definitely stay again when I'm in the area.
The breakfast was also great and served swiftly, highly recommended.
great location, great space, very clean, very value. kids slept well, adults a little less well but we are used to a kingsize bed so no issues. car parking on site was perfect. we arrived late but the room was made available for us, the kitchen area was perfect for making our own breakfast.
Lovely hotel, the staff are lovely.
Our daughter was poorly in the morning and they brought me tea and toast to our room so I could eat before leaving and stay with her.
Excellent value for money
Clean and functional for the time we spent here
Lovely, tastefully decorated and spacious , would like to have stayed longer Parking and turning room very good, outside garden area very nice too, we had dogs with us which slept in cars so offroad parking essential for us .
Located above a pub in the centre of town, the hotel was easy to find with plenty of parking available at the rear. The staff were very welcoming and our room was large with a big private bathroom.
I have used this hotel before and for the price it is excellent value,. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. As last time the staff were friendly and helpful. I will return again
Everything from eating to sleeping to showering was a breeze very relaxing and the yurt was very spacious and i would say more comfortable than a hotel room.
