A thoughfully renovated and clean, tidy cottage only a short walk into town or out along the Mawddach Trail.
Friendly and attentive hosts. Comfortable beds and excellent new ensuite shower. Good choice of items for breakfast.
The downstairs and outside seating, gated parking area, extra toilet, fresh milk for tea and coffee were all much appreciated. Also thanks for the tea and Welsh cakes on first arrival after climbing Cader Idris.

Beautiful, peaceful setting. Incredibly kind, attentive and friendly hosts. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable accommodation. Wonderful full breakfast with homemade fruit preserves and lots of options. We found the location perfect for sightseeing and walks, but also spent a whole afternoon in the garden enjoying the views and sunshine. Thank you Heulwen and Andy, it was a wonderful stay.

There are plenty of bistros and pubs in the town. We ate in the Torrent Walk hotel and the food was beautiful and plentiful. There was live music over the weekend in the town which was a great addition.
There are lots of country walks and a short drive to the beach at Barmouth.

Dolgellau is a small but compact town with shops and pubs etc easily accessible. Main car park by the river is on the edge of town but a minutes walk away from the centre. There could be more choice of restaurants and cafes but we found a hotel (The Ship) that served good food.

The parking was not good steep narrow road I think once inside the property there was 44 steps or stairs some very steep and narrow, wouldn’t recommend to guests with any type of mobility issues. Lounge furniture needs replacing very old and uncomfortable lounge smelt musty. One of the bedrooms very damp with mushroom type mould Growing on wall and carpet. Bathrooms very nice modern plenty of them. Everything you needed supplied in the kitchen. Beds very comfortable lovely bedding. Garden unkempt and garden furniture rusty.

A well maintained property, with delightful hosts.
A well maintained property, with delightful hosts. Breakfasts very good.
Lovely gardens and views of the countryside/hills. Room facilities good, comfy & cosy. I plan to stay here again when next visiting the area. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
Good base for lots of things. great walking area. I used it as a base for a golfing break as it's in the centre of a triangle of some great links golf courses incl St David's [Harlech], Aberdovey, and Porthmadog, And the spectacular Welshpool GC with amazing views over 5 counties! The wonderful village of Portmeirion [famous for it's use in the 60's TV series 'The Prisoner'] is not too far away either
The house is beautiful and full of character. The luxury room is very large, warm and cosy, with an amazing view of the mountains. Furniture, decoration and paintings are beautiful and well matched. This is more a luxury boutique hotel than a B&B. Our hosts were really nice and showed us around. Serafina speaks a very good Italian. Her breakfast was delicious. Luxury hot tub in the garden is a pleasant treat that helped with the back pain caused by long hours of motorbike riding in amazing Wales!
We booked the deluxe family room for the four of us (all adults) and we liked the style of the room a lot! The room was located on the top floor and we liked that they provided us with fans - much needed even after the heatwave! Bathroom was spacious and everything was clean. We also liked breakfast where you can order cooked food. We checked in quite late in the evening so the hotel car park was full already. But there was a public car park not far away so it was not a big problem.
We had a variety of options for a continental breakfast, which we could consume at our leisure. The location is a manageable walk from the main centre of Dolgellau, which is a pretty and charming town. I wish we had more time to explore the area. The Hall itself is full of character, combining Victorian grandeur and funky design, offering a really unique experience. Our apartment was super spacious. Best of all though, our hosts were generous, warm and friendly people.
This hotel is beautiful and was a great treat for us to stay in. The staff were welcoming and catered for all our requirements, the room was spacious and well laid out and we had a fantastic seating area in the window where we could look out and the balcony would have been used if it was a little warmer. The grounds and views are stunning and I can only imagine them looking better when everything is in full bloom a must stay if you can and it's in budget
Had the hotel to ourselves as no other hotel guests booked in.
Location fab, lovely pub/restaurant/hotel.
Clean and tidy and very welcoming, friendly staff.
Breakfast was amazing.
Didn't eat in the evening as the one veggie option wasn't to our 5aste but they did offer to be flexible and offered us two other dishes but we decided to explore Dolgellau for a change. Have been to the curry night before...excellent definitely stay again.
Excellent hosts with a really interesting and characterful B&B full of items from their extensive travels. Great location in a quiet area but still very near the centre of Delgellau and all facilities. Lovely views of the surrounding area. Hosts were very accommodating to an early rise, and breakfast was excellent.
Wow! What a find! It was formerly a hunting lodge which was remodeled into a hotel. Our room was fantastic with a breathtaking view out the window. The restaurant, however, was phenomenal and provided easily the best meal of our travels! Truly a five star experience.
wow the view from our room was incredible. The bed was super comfortable, room big, good shower. Chris & Louise very friendly and helpful. Great location a few minutes walk to the pubs and restaurants. Dolgellau is my favourite place and would definitely stay again
Wonderful house and apartment. Lovely hosts, superb and plentiful food for breakfast, and welcoming Welsh cakes. If I could score this 11 out of 10 I would.
It is a huge apartment and very comfortable. It's a great base for walking or just seeing the local area.
The wine and food in the bar was amazing as always & we had the veggie full Welsh breakfast the next day which was lovely. The hotel is in the centre of Dolgellau and is perfect for going on bike rides to Barmouth or walking to the Precipice Walk etc.
Location was in the center of the little town. We had a beautiful room with an exquisite view (and a lovely bathroom) facing the town square. Breakfast was delicious. Staff were very courteous and helpful. We loved everything about this hotel.
Just outside Dolgellau, less thanm10 mins in car. We had 3 rooms including a triple. Good little kitchen and lounge area in the kitchen. Would be great for a longer stay. Very comfortable and clean.
