The hotel lives up to its name, it is very grand. The staff are exceptional and really attentive with the guest. The room was amazing, spacious, quiet and comfortable. The hotel was unbelievably clean and the cleaners did an amazing job. It’s walking distance to everything you could need and had such a range of facilities. Truly one of the, if not the, best hotels I’ve ever stayed at.

The country style hotel was welcoming and the decor was tasteful and in keeping with style of property, it had a very warm homely feeling. Every staff member was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Although we didn’t eat there the food looked reasonable priced. Everywhere was spotless clean. Bus into York right across road.

Really friendly welcoming hotel, very accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Arrived early to drop bags and was offered an early check-in. On checkout day the hotel looked after our bag all day, so we didn't have to carry it around all day.
