The house was well maintained, very clean, bright and well decorated. The hosts were just lovely, breakfast was superb and we felt well looked after. We took our dog and they even supplied a few dog biscuits, poo bags and a towel to wipe paws. There is also a recreational park opposite to walk dog.

Great place to stay. Beautiful bedroom and shower room which were spotlessly clean. The lady that owns this cottage was a lovely host and very welcoming. She also gave me a tasty continental breakfast. She told me about all the things you can do nearby. I would definitely like to return for a longer stay at a later date to do these, like picnic by the bridge over the river which is about 150m away or walk on the moors. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Will def recommend this to my friends and family.

The staff especially at breakfast was excellent although he seemed to be overworked and desperately needed some assistance.
The information on booking .Com stated there was a refrigerator in the room but there wasn’t and when we asked at check in we were told our room doesn’t have one although when I booked it said it did the hotel did nothing to try and rectify this the problem arising was it was a particular hot few days.

I have known, and loved, Exford for more than 70 years. Hearing the clippers-clop of horses' hooves and seeing the Exmoor Stores reopened and flourishing was splendid. Church Hill still seems strep to walk up...

Did not have time to look around Exford as we only booked for one night. We were booked onto a special stargazing event, which was excellent.
However the drive over the moor from Lynton was stunning.
Exford is situated in an excellent part of the moor for exploring and Exford appeared to be a lovely village to walk around, with two pubs and village shops.
Horse riding available too.
Would reconmmend Exford for a place to stay for either a long weekend or for a week.

Great location, walking available direct from the hotel. Food exceptional, good breakfast with choice of food. However, we ate in the restaurant in the evening and I have to say it was amongst the best pub/hotel food we've had out for ages. I'd definitely stay again and eat there too.
Beautiful setting. Walk to the village along the river was a joy. Well placed for many areas on Exmoor to visit and walk. Jennie and Malcolm were really helpful and welcoming.
The barn was cosy , bed really comfy. Everything had been thought out really well. A truly perfect break.
