We had a fantastic stay at the Gables. Angus is an entertaining host who was there to welcome us on our arrival. We were made to feel at home. The house is beautifully maintained and the furniture comfortable and in keeping with the style of the house. Our room was huge. The bed is bespoke and equally as vast as the room. Our breakfast was well cooked and the produce local. Angus' recommendations were very helpful. His suggestion to extend our planned walk to take in even better views paid off. We had a great time at the Gables and would recommend it for short stays similar to our visit or to use as a base for a longer trip to explore the amazing landscape that surrounds the area.

A very comfortable hotel, particularly the beds, very spacious bathroom, which was suitable for my elderly mother. excellent freshly cooked breakfast, particularly the scrambled eggs, the very best that I have tasted. excellent value for money. snd very Friendly and helpful staff.
