Rooms are located above the Carlton Hotel which has a lively bar with a pool table. There's also live music several nights a week. The staff were very pleasant and efficient, and the public areas have been recently redecorated without taking away all of the old charm of this hotel. We had a spacious room on the top floor with a double bed and a single bed, a large flatscreen TV, and an ensuite shower room. There's a large (free!) car park behind the co-op a short distance away. You receive a complimentary drink at check-in. The bedrooms had been pleasantly decorated and were clean.

The food and service was really excellent both for evening meal and breakfast and the attention to quality, temperature and settings was very welcome. Lovely glass of red too! Room had water and a couple of choc treats. Would stay again.

Very spacious room, very comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The location is spectacular. After a week staying in small hotel rooms this was such a nice break. The room although a little out of date was very spacious, clean and we were able to spread out. The bathroom was enormous and the bed and linens above expectations. So quiet!
