We had a very pleasant one night stay at the hotel. Our room was comfortable (the decor could do with a freshen up). We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel and enjoyed both meals, the service at breakfast in particular was excellent. The hotel is approximately 40 miles from Edinburgh airport and is set in an ideal location to explore the coast line and towns nearby.

The house was neat and tidy. Heating was good. We enjoyed seeing the highland cows and fields from the window. The place was nice and quiet. Self-check-in. Had a wonderful stay.

Very clean - spotless! Brilliant shower and quality refillable toiletries. Fridge with plenty of drink choices. The bed was really comfortable and the views, really spectacular.

The Golf Tavern has a shared lounge, restaurant, a bar and water sports facilities in Haddington.

I would really like to give this hotel 10 as the staff were wonderful. I commented on this on this when checking out. Then, on discovering that I had left my KIndle in the restaurant it was forwarded to me with no extra charge. I can't praise them enough! The chef even came out of the kitchen after serving our breakfast to make sure that we didn't need anything else before having his own. The waiter couldn't do enough for us. The food was excellent as well. My husband loved the haggis and black pudding!!

Amazing location! Very friendly staff. The bedroom was wonderful, extremely comfortable bed, and a spectacular view. The bathroom was nice and large, beautifully restored. Great gym. The hotel was literally on the golf course, with its own little putting area in the front garden, and a path across to the beach.
