This is one occasion when the experience inside the hotel is better than you expect when you see the place from the outside. The hotel is in the centre of Port Ellen and its exterior is uninspiring but everything inside the hotel is wonderful - quality of rooms, food, bar and above all the excellent staff. Great spot in Port Ellen. Extremely clean. Lovely hot shower. Staff were lovely and check in was easy. Had a little parking area. Great little variety of things for breakfast, though no cooked breakfast option, but we didn’t miss it because there was such a good selection of other things.

Excellent location, lovely shower. Coral was great and called us to check we were ok. Nice little touches with bottled water and biscuits. Finished to a high standard. Deli den opposite does a lovely breakfast.
