The breakfast service was incredibly slow and the food was not great value for money

Nice location, lovely clean room. The staff were exceptional compared to a recent Holiday Inn I went to. So was the food. Service in the dining room was first class, dinner and breakfast time

I attended a middle distance triathlon and the friendly staff ensured I was as comfortable as possible. They were fully flexible, understandable and the room was sparkling clean with a super beautiful bathroom.
The bar and restaurant deliver nutritious and delicious food with plenty of options as well. It's a shame I went for one night only because I would love to stay for at least 3 nights more my staying in a super comfortable hotel.

The details from booking .com were not the same as hotel.
The details from booking .com were not the same as hotel. Check in 3pm and check out 11am was actually 4pm (as it did not open till 4pm) and check out was 10am. There was a menu, showing the prices and times the meals were available... BUT, There was no one at reception there were no meals (except breakfast) being cooked. The full English breakfast did not include sausages as there was none left and the milk was served in small plastic individual containers. The scrambled eggs and toast was served with two thin slices of toasted bread and no butter. (My wife said the eggs were dry and tasteless... disgusting was used several times). Breakfast was served between 7 and 9am .... (that was out by 9am ) we left 09:05 and the dining room door was locked behind us. The room was dirty, the window paintwork was flaky and chipped and cracked and blackened with moist. No safety measures in bathroom. ..... ... rubber bath/ shower mat or handrails. There was lots of black mould right around the bath. At the price of £99 per night I would have expected a lot more. I took quite a few photos to back up my claim if any one wants to see them. think a hotel inspector would have condemned the hotel

Clean, comfortable, well equipped, quiet.
Clean, comfortable, well equipped, quiet. Gorgeous location and a fabulous hamper was provided. The owners clearly care that guests should have everything they need to have a great stay. We were seeing family close by but it is a good central location for many attractions and Cambridge. There was a pub within walking distance where we had a nice meal and friendly staff.
Breakfast was fair but not organised or planned well enough.
No table settings or information given. Very sparse choice
We purely picked this hotel for location as visiting family. Normally book Sandford house but was booked at the time
It was a peaceful hotel with a bar and bar meals. I had an excellent full English breakfast. I also had a lovely scampi, chips and mushy peas the night before. The staff were welcoming and helpful.
Nice village location with good links to the A1 and A14. A good choice of breakfast. A pub with rooms more than a hotel which is nicer than a big brand hotel. Plenty of parking space.
It is a sixteenth century building and has heaps of character. So much nicer to stay in a unique hotel rather than a national corporate one. The owner was so kind and helpful
There was no one on site when we arrived. I had to ring to gain entry to the hotel although we arrived after arrival time.
The 2 members of staff were very pleasant.
