I think that it was good value for the money I paid but I realised what I was getting. The grounds very v nice (we also had a dog with us). The breakfast was fine and v helpful member of staff (I'm coeliac) - there is an allergen board near the food. Avoid the lukewarm coffee pots and go for the machine. Also the juices are a bit rubbish except the orange juice.

Very quiet we hardly knew we were in a hotel. We loved the selection of artisan coffees - they were delicious. Great shower and lovely en suite. Very friendly staff and great dining experience. We would come again.

Spa facilities were great

Room was adequate, bed was comfy ,bathroom and shower were decent. Location is a couple of minutes walk to Watford junction train station. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice of food and drinks.
