We went to rest and relax for which this property was perfect. No passing traffic (motorised or human!) Quiet with any necessary amenities easily available. Warm, comfortable, easy parking, all contributing to a most restful stay. We are in our eighties and though still mobile enjoyed the surroundings and the peace and quiet they afforded.

We had to cut short our stay as we had a hospital appointment part way through which we did not want to change but in the time we had we used the property well and cooked several meals there. We were delighted with the location, adjacent to the property's own campsite and another cottage in the adjoining barn. So although it appears the property suits a couple it would be quite possible to book both cottages and a camping/touring pitch in order to accommodate a larger family group. Access to the moors and coast is easy and there is a lovely walk down to Robin Hoods Bay. Big supermarket on the south side of Whitby within 2 miles makes shopping easy and there is a choice of a number of pubs within a short distance. We ate once at The Bay Hotel in RH Bay, which we have been to before, is friendly and food is good.
