Highworth is a lovely small market town with lots of interesting history. It has a very useful visitor centre with a small museum. The surrounding area is beautiful with a lot of ancient historical monuments and sites within easy reach. The cotswolds are on the doorstep and it is an easy trip to Bath.

Loved the location and fantastic food.
Loved the location and fantastic food. Room quite tired and could do with comfier beds. Great value for money. Met some friendly locals full of knowledge of the town's history including the tunnels that go under the town from every pub to the church. There's even an original door to it in the cellar bar a few doors down from the Saracen. We are vegetarians but even I was tempted with the food on offer in andd outside the local butchers and the Saturday market was a pleasure to walk round.
We chose to have dinner in the hotel - opting for ham, egg and chips and scampi and chips. This was very good quality at a reasonable price.
The free WiFi worked well.
The room was very warm even in the cold weather.
The location was good for a football match at Swindon where Wimbledon were visiting (about 5 miles away).
Bar staff were lovely, friendly and polite.
There was a function on when we arrived and the carpark was full but there was free parking in the market place across the road from the hotel/pub.
Pub food in the evening was nice - large menu choice.
Bed was comfy, tea/coffee making facilities in the room.
The property is very easy to find. It has ample parking in the rear of the hotel.
You’d need to check in via the bar, the staff are cheerful and friendly during check in and check out.
The soap and shampoo given were lovely.
Ample coffee and tea provided in the room.
Comfy and cosy room with warm and welcoming staff who were happy to accommodate me as much as they could. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and will be using it again!
