Hotel restaurant & staff both in restaurant & at reception were really lovely & friendly. Loved the restaurant & bar area, modern spacious & welcoming. Food was delicious, well presented & generous portions. Great selection of food on the menu. Staff were friendly, approachable & attentive without being obtrusive. Kilsyth is a town full of history from the mines to the weaving. It should really have a museum in the main street. Colzium is a beautiful park with flowers and walks. The main street is a sad shadow of its former self but still worth a walk and a pie from Rennies the bakers.

The location was spot on to visit the attractions and to explore the region .The town itself was typical of many towns across the UK ,run down and in need of some TLC but on a plus point the people were very friendly
Service and food were exceptional, even though they were short staffed we felt very well looked after.
We felt that the boat house management are really making an effort to improve the hotel. There is plenty of parking directly outside the hotel, a pleasant decking area too.
The towels and bed linen were clean and good quality. there was plenty of tea/coffee etc in the rooms and nice toiletries. Water in the in-room fridge and our friends had a small bottle of Sherry and 2 glasses in their room!
Great location with interesting views and fantastic access to walking trails. The rooms are nice and provide everything needed. The restaurant and bar are well stocked and comfortable. I will recommend to both my friends and family in the USA as well as my local family in Scotland.
Having stayed there before a few years ago we knew what to expect. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The Breakfast was first class. The public areas have been recently decorated and the owners appear to be upgrading the Hotel in stages.
The hotel was very nice. The restaurant prices were reasonable, as were the bar prices. The bar staff and waitresses were also friendly. The breakfast the next morning was also very good.
Brilliant Polish lady working at the bar/restsurant that guided us to some interesting places. Very friendly and made us a day! Never met someone that positive. Good hotel.
