Lovely hotel in a lovely location, with a chirpy chap on reception. We were staying there as attending the Taylor Swift concert at Murrayfield and didn't get back until late and they were very accommodating (no pun intended). So only slept there and didn't really get to experience the hotel and area properly.
There wasn't any food available by the time we got there just after 2.30 pm and as we were being picked up by taxi at 3.45 pm to take us to Murrayfield, we were hungry. We had planned to get there earlier but our first train was delayed by 30 minutes which meant we missed our connection to Burntisland. There were no taxis available when we finally got to the station at Burntisland (School run time at 2 pm apparently) as the hotel is about a 30 minute walk away, but on the advice of one of the local taxis firms we walked to the high street and got a bus, we only had to wait about 10 minutes and it stops just outside the hotel. We didn't book breakfast as we wanted to spend a few hours in Edinburgh before we headed home. (Had breakfast at the Edinburgh Larder in Black friars street which highly recommend).I have to say you think this hotel is miles away if you want to visit Edinburgh, but with the bus and train you can be in Edinburgh in about 45 minutes, plus you get to go over the stunning Forth railway bridge, views are amazing.
Featuring a garden and a terrace, Burntisland Sands Hotel is located in Burntisland. Offering a restaurant, the property also has a bar. Free WiFi is available and on-site parking is provided.

Kirkcaldy is a quirky little town with a lovely beach front promenade. Apparently the town fathers ruled against any free parking some years ago, which has deeply impacted business retention, and now many young people are leaving. The High Street is a bit sad. BUT excellent restaurants - Marino's Italian and Koku oShi sushi - both top notch. And we sampled two wonderful cafe's - R & S and Merchants - make sure to visit the back yard in Merchants, especially climbing to the top of the yard so you can really see what this centuries old house looked like.

Helpful, attentive staff made a short stay very comfortable.
When I brought an issue with my dinner to their attention the staff didn't quibble but immediately removed the item from by bill and offered an alternative or replacement.

We were there to attend an event and to conduct some family history research in the excellent facilities provided by Kirkcaldy Library and Museum. The town itself is looking good, certainly in the area round Victoria Road.

Kirkcaldy is a good place for access to Edinburgh, Fife and The East Neuk. It has its own charm, but the town centre is quite run down. Take the bus to the nearby beaches, or right up to the beautiful villages of East Neuk. There are a couple of good curry houses on the High Street, I liked The Prince especially. The older streets away from the High Street and the Parks are quite lovely, and the museum and gallery are good.

Visited the gallery/museum which was located near our hotel.
Visited the gallery/museum which was located near our hotel. This was a hidden gem as the pictures on display were very good as was the museum which had sections dedicated to the past linoleum industry and mining communities. Fascinating.
Kirkcaldy has a full range of shops available as well as a modernised sea promenade.
All in all found Kirkcaldy a very enjoyable place to visit and wished we had spent more time there!

The best thing about Kirkcaldy is going to see the seals.
The best thing about Kirkcaldy is going to see the seals. Ask at your hotel how to see them. Need to be able to walk about 20 mins. They are nearly always there . Easy to get train in and out of Edinburgh. If you like walking or biking. Fife coastal path is lovely. Can walk between stations and get train back
Polite, friendly and professional staff in all areas. Clean, comfortable and very modern hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean and we had a large modern shower room. Varied breakfast menu in a nicely decorated dining room. Lovely public areas and set in well kept grounds. Plenty of car parking spaces. The location is very peaceful yet a few minutes to connect to motorway by car. A large retail park is located a few minutes walk away. Kirkcaldy town centre is a short drive away. Would recommend Dean Park Hotel to friends and family.

The room was fine, bed comfortable, good shower. Hotel was peaceful, staff very nice. Tv worked fine, internet signal not strong any part of the hotel. Breakfast was satisfactory, not a wide range but everything tasted good. Coffee was not strong enough.
The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing for dinner and cooked breakfast. nothing was too much trouble. Hotel is in a beautiful setting right on the Golf course. The hotel isn’t far from the centre of Kirkcaldy, beautiful for walks.
Despite booking the hotel for a work trip a cooked breakfast would have been the icing the cake. The team very kindly offered us a Bacon roll, which was great, but a full Scottish cooked would have been excellent

We were attending a funeral and the "wake" was held in the hotel. So it was convenient although the cemetery was a little distant. The staff at reception were very helpful
