The location was lovely. It was in a beautiful quiet spot, just where I thought the land couldn't go any further. And it was just stunning!! Even with all the industry about, it just added something. The bed was lovely and comfy, and the facilities outside with the toaster and microwave for own food was a brilliant touch. The customer service was top notch, definitely some of the best and most wonderful sensitivity to our persona circumstances
It fit the bill and did exactly what we needed.

We were visiting family and know the local area well but anyone that is going to stay for short break away, I would recommend going in warmer weather so you are able to sit outside and enjoy the lovey garden and the beaches on the island. The train station is a short walk from the b&b, so you can venture further. The local fish and chip shop in Queenborough just along from the b&b is very good too.

Used Queenborough as a base to travel around the Isle of Sheppy. In the evenings we visited local hostelries. There was a a nice Micro pub with a good selection of beers and nice food called The Admirals Arm, we would recommend paying it a visit. It had a nice atmosphere. We also ate at The Flying Dutchman, which claimed to cook the local catch. I ordered a Whole Dover sole (£20) also not sure that it was fresh, when it came it was a very small fish and boiled potatoes which were hard, a most disappointing meal my wife had a veggy option which was also poor Expensive and wouldn't recommend.

The town is fairly low key - we didn't find shops or amenities - but it does have an expansive seashore - which gets much more expansive as the tide goes out.
We enjoyed the boat service to Southend for a fun day trip.

Queenborough itself is an industrial area with a coastal view overlooking industry. The B and B is opposite the only picturesque open area -site of an old castle. There's not much to see or do there, but a good base for exploring the rest of the islandThe Bistro is inside the B and B, but runs under a separate business. Staff were helpful. It was very popular with families so book. The food quality varied -our scallops were amazing, but braised lamb disappointing.

Everyone was friendly and welcoming.
Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Loved The Admirals Arm for it's wonderful selection of gins and delicious pizza but all the pubs were great. The Queenborough museum at the Guildhall on the high st was fascinating and the church is a rare find with a stunning painted ceiling! Quaint harbour too. Queenborough is well located for Elmley Nature Reserve and it's just a short drive to other parts of the island.
Staff were welcoming and friendly. The room was very good (garden room) was very humid during our stay so room was humid too but the fan was very useful. The outside seating area was very nice. We had a Sunday lunch which was amazing, and the breakfast was very good too. All in all it was a great stay. Only problem was there was a wedding in the community hall opposite so all parking was gone. The manger allowed us to park in the centre of the hotel car park until things cleared which was appreciated.
Queenborough has much to do with both the local fishing boat community of the past and the castle which once stood between the train station and the car park.
The area still hosts many historical buildings which had periodically had much to do with the development of the Isle of Sheppey as this once stood as the back bone of fleets and trade.
The hotel is lovely, with very friendly staff. We had visited before for a great meal in the restaurant.
The room was nice and clean with lovely comfortable beds and tea and coffee making facilities.
Breakfast was tasty and hot, with a nice selection of buffet options.
Can't say enough how good our stay was. The price was really reasonable. The food was excellent. Staff were all very friendly. I can tell they really cared about the customers who were staying at the hotel. I would highly recommend the Queen Phillipa.
A well looked after hotel, literally a couple of minutes from the station. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great outdoor area at the back to relax in, overlooking the waterway and boats. The perfect place to stay for our boat trip to the seas forts.
