It has a lovely feel to it, we were lucky to have had good weather which always helps!
The dining room and bar area are lovely, and the ambiance at breakfast was highlighted by the fact that we were staying at the time of the D-Day 80 Commemoration.
All of the staff that we met with were friendly and helpful, particularly the ever-present Martin.
The beds were super comfortable, a real bonus after a long flight up from Australia.
Our booking didn’t include breakfast, but at just £15 per person, it was very good value and we had a great cooked breakfast each morning to set us up for the day ahead.
This hotel, for the price we paid, provided excellent value for a visit to London.
We parked at the commuter parking at the shopping centre next to Edgware Station for our trips into London on the Underground. Stanmore station is closer but we weren’t sure about the availability of parking there so we opted to go to Edgware instead.
There are some lovely walks around the hotel grounds and adjacent countryside.
We only stayed for 3 nights due to our sc, but we would have happily stayed longer if time had permitted.
A thoroughly enjoyable stay and a credit to everyone involved, thank you!
Situated just on the A1, this hotel is only 16 miles from popular Wembley Stadium and the Warner Brothers Harry Potter Studio in Leavesden is just 15 miles away.

Great location for Harry Potter and other attractions nearby. Beautiful part of the country we'd never seen before. Good food reasonably priced. Such amazing Royal history to the place. Very quaint, authentic, welcoming making for a relaxed evening in the bar.

The room was a decent size and the en suite was excellent with a good assortment of soap, shower foam, shampoo and conditioner.
Secondary glazing kept the traffic noise to a very acceptable level.
We had a simple one course dinner on our first night which was nicely cooked and presented. I enjoy a beer and the Youngs was very good. There was a nice cooked breakfast each morning. We were at a wedding so no more main meals were taken at the hotel except for breakfast on our morning of departure. The 11 am checkout gives you plenty of time to pack and depart. Radlett was not explored but it is a very nice spot with access to some of Hertfordshire's visitor attractions. The Red Lion has its own car park which is a very short walk away for which no charge is made. We would certainly come here again!

It's nothing special.
It's nothing special. You have to be pretty rich to live here, or drive an expensive car! There are some decent places to get food: Indian restaurants, a chippie, Pizza Express, but you wouldn't come here unless you were on business or visiting someone.
Also, being on the A5, it's very busy during the rush hour. Don't come here for a romantic getaway!
Breakfast was tasty and generous. The service was excellent, the staff were polite and catered to our needs. For a three-star hotel, I'd say the breakfast was outstanding!
The room we stayed in was quite spacious and had complimentary espresso pods. We enjoyed spending time in the sitting area, which doubled as the morning breakfast restaurant.
The hotel's location is superb, a 5-minute walk to the train station to get to London and equally as close to the town center where there are restaurants, shops, and other amenities.
An excellent stay in a very pleasant hotel - the room was very comfortable and suited all of our needs.
The location on the main street is very close to the railway station and shops and cafes.
The food was excellent with the breakfast providing us with an excellent start to the day.
All of the staff were very helpful and the girl serving the breakfasts was extremely professional.
We will certainly make a return visit to this lovely inn when the cricket is planned to be held there again.
Nice hotel, Shame they charged my card x3times for 1 night and then only refunded one of the extra payments.
I booked through booking.com - who they tried to blame as I’d booked two rooms-despite me and the friend I travelled with supplying bank statements to illustrate both of us paying, her once, me three times.
Still trying to get my money back. a reasonable £75 has turned into a painful £150.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Redlion Hotel. From the moment I entered the staff were welcoming and very polite. Nothing was too much trouble. Super clean and comfortable room along with a really relaxing atmosphere at the Hotel. I will be coming here again for future stays. I would especially like to say thank you to Sammy who couldn’t do enough for me.
Warm welcome, very good breakfast, comfortable rooms, the hotel is very pleasant, the restaurant is quite good too. All the personnel is warm and very helpful. For those who travel by public transport, it is very practical, owing to the localisation, a few steps from Radlett train station, with a 30 mn connection with central london. We had a wonderful stay.
I knew of this Hotel from growing up in Radlett but I'd never stayed in it. I have lived in the North but still have family nearby. My daughter and my grandchildren loved our stay because the hotel is very traditional so much more homely than modern Hotels, plus the staff were excellent
Rooms to quite a high standard, refurbished recently. Dinner (took back to room) high quality. Location in the middle of Radlett, so handy for everything (eg. about 100 yards to the Station).
