Within easy reach of some really nice places to visit, We went to Fairy Glen fabulous walk and beautiful place. Also went on Lancashire canal cruise, we did the afternoon tea which was lovely, would definitely go again. Parbold village very close to where we stayed, walked in for pub meal and couple of drinks, lovely walk and great food.

Lots to do and see in the immediate area and convenient for travelling further afield to other nearby places of interest. The Rufford Arms was an excellent place both to stay and to eat. Don't miss Rufford Old Hall and the narrowboat marina on the canal.

The gaggle of misogynistic men that propped up the bar since teatime that you had to squeeze past to enter the pub. I was so embarrassed that my young son had to listen to their sexist language whilst with me. The smell of cannabis was overwhelming and the staff, with the exception of the lady at breakfast, weren’t particularly helpful or friendly.
Great sized room but the lock on the door was difficult to open.
The area was beautiful and we could have stayed longer and gone walking. The hotel room was quiet even though there were a lot of people staying. The room was very nice and clean. We enjoyed a drink when we arrived and the man in charge was very helpful and friendly. The meal in the evening was good and very reasonably priced as were the drinks. The breakfast was great all freshly cooked and no buffet style . The staff in the evening and at breakfast were professional but friendly and efficient.
Very friendly and helpful. Good shower. Slept well in comfy bed.
I was on the ground floor. There was noise of people moving around from room upstairs. I would ask for an upstairs room if staying again. I would stay again for sure. Easy walks along canal to the village and pub, cafes and also a lovely National Trust property, Old Rufford Hall. Lots of parking on site.
homely cosy country pub fab choices of seating areas , fire burner, hotel rooms clean & tidy & cosy without outside tables & seating in nice garden ,
very reasonable price to stay including a big fabulous full breakfast , highly recommend ,
helpful staff very friendly thank you me and my friends enjoyed our stay
I love this hotel, staff can't do enough for you, so friendly and warming. The food is great, the room is warm and comfortable. They have things like poker nights and quiz nights through the week. I found the energy in the area and the grounds amazing. I'll be back next week.
Was great value for money, staff were extremely friendly, service was excellent, two members off staff stood out I which I got their names 😀. location was lovely hotel clean tidy and good atmosphere couldn't fault it was a great 3 nights break. Keep up the great work 😀
Breakfast was good . Our room was on the ground floor right opposite reception , next to the main road and to the entrance to the hotel so was quite noisy hence did not sleep well . It was well equipped and a reasonable size . Staff were friendly and helpful
This is a basic hotel that provides great value for money and is super clean and tidy- cheap rooms normally come with a cleanliness tab but this is fantastic. Decent breakfast also and really friendly staff 👍
Pub is decent also
Loved the area, plenty of parking on site, friendly welcome, reasonably priced, amazing comfortable room and bed and we loved the small animal sanctuary place at the side of the hotel.
Very comfortable hotel in a quiet, rural location. It was perfect for what we wanted. The room was modern and very clean. The food very good. Staff friendly.
