The hotel location is number 1. Then you must remember this is a very, very old building. Besides these items, the hotel has recently gone through big changes and upgrades which have made it a much better place to stay.

Staff talk about go the extra mile - had a flat tyre as well as calling a taxi let me borrow a small compressor which got me up and running for an important meeting - thanks

The service was great. I had a problem with my back and struggled walking. They were initially going to put me on the top floor sharing the bathroom but opted to give me a larger room with my own shower on the first floor which was great.

Small market town full of character.
Small market town full of character. Suffers from empty shops in the town centre like everywhere else these days but still plenty of independents on Regent Street, Albert Street and the others in between. Out of town shopping at Elliots Field and Junction One is good. Lots of fantastic places to eat but particularly love Bacco Lounge, Satchmo's Corner, Quatre Vin and of course the original Casa Loco. Not forgetting live music at CV22 bar.

On booking we did not have a problem but in the last few days before arriving I had a knee problem and my husband a back problem on arrival the room was up a flight of stairs the bed far too soft and when sat on it it moved we asked for another room the bed a bit better but the ceiling very bad and windows awful, we felt too uncomfortable to stay as we only found out a few days before arrival that the restaurant and bar were not open and on looking around there were no restaurants or cafe in close proximity and I could not walk any distance, the wallpaper was coming off , so we informed them we were leaving to find a better hotel , the staff were difficult to understand , it needs a lot of work done to it before having guest we could not have a refund but a small amount would have been good

I really like Rugby, friendly people, lots of quality real ale pubs, I have stayed there 2 nights at a time 5 or 6 times now and even in the town centre have yet to meet the type of undesirable person (anti social behaviour) that seem to be more prevalent elsewhere

Give this hotel a try.
Give this hotel a try. They are lovely staff and trying to get it back to normal since covid. It will get better all the time. Don't listen too much to previous reviews as we have stayed before amny times before covid and it was great.
Great location in rugby: a quick walk to the train station or the city centre with lots of basics like groceries and takeaway in easy reach. A full kitchen (shared) is provided, with cabinet space allocated for each guest room. The room was very clean and quiet. Bathroom is shared, but is clean and modern and meets the needs. Not a lot of amenities, but everything worked and the television was good. As a basic touch-down pad for a short trip, this property was just what I was looking for.
Small independently owned hotels have had a tough time over the past 18 months and I am not going to do them down when they need all the help they can get. The owners put a lot of effort into making our stay as nice as possible. A couple of things were out of their control but they are trying to get back on their feet. A* for effort and I look forward to staying here again when I next visit Rugby.
This is a budget hotel that provides clean and comfortable accommodation close to the centre of Rugby with ample parking. It was 30% cheaper than national budget hotel chains in central Rugby, and the savings paid for a good night out in town. The decor and facilities reflect the low price. I would not book the Diamond if decor and facilities were important considerations.
Very clean and tidy property.
Quiet location but only 10 minutes walk from Rugby Town centre.
Off street parking and simple but secure access to the property.
Inside is well decorated and furnished nicely. Comfy bed, property pillows too!
Great communication from the vendor.
Overall a very nice place to stay at a decent price point too.
I liked the quiet location. The room was very cheap and did the job for a stay over night to attend the wedding. The decour is a bit out dated but its a great hotel and does the job. The room came included with breakfast which was nice and the staff were very accomodating for us as we requested vegan.
The flat was clean and in a quiet area.
It was warm which we appreciated as we had snow. The kitchen had everything that we needed, although we didn't use the cooker or dishwasher.
The fruit and milk left for us was a nice touch.
The property was a very good size, 2 nice living rooms, nice size kitchen, which led to a bathroom/utility room with shower, 2 more bathrooms upstairs.
TV in most rooms. Location is a easy 15 mins walk to Rugby shopping area
The hotel location is number 1. Then you must remember this is a very, very old building. Besides these items, the hotel has recently gone through big changes and upgrades which have made it a much better place to stay.
I was in a cute, little cosy room with newly decorated bathroom. I loved the lighting of the mirror which was adjustable. Many hotels have bad lighting, which makes applying make-up or grooming more difficult.
The area the hotel was in was nice and the hotel was very easily accessible - the location into Coventry was good. Front of the hotel and main areas are very nice.
