The breakfast was excellent with a great deal of choice and staff always on hand to aid and assist. Dinner in Carriages was very good - fine dining. The room was comfortable would just mention that it was inclined to be dark being on the side of the property - needed to use the lights and lamps if wishing to read.

Very pretty building, interior decorated nice. Welcoming property with great views. We got room service in the evening for our meal, which was exceptional standard! Fantastic food couldn't recommend that evening meal enough. Room was very clean and has everything we needed.

Most welcoming on arrival, allocated a nice room, unfortunately with noisey neighbours, but were relocated after first night. Hotel is well situated with pleasent view across the estuary. Near to rail station and around the corner from the more lively village centre. Well placed for walking, and local travel. The breakfasr=t and evening meals were fine and reasonably priced. Better value during the week, but to be expected. The evening menu is not extensive, but has a special, and covers most of the standard classics again to be expected, you would struggel not to find somtjhing of interest. Standard market prices apply, wine a tadge over the top at £22, but cheaper in the week. The weather was excellent. The room bumf had details of local walks which was good, it is a steep climb to Arneside Knott, but well worth thr effort, as if the beach walk to Silverside, with a train ride back.
The Longlands Inn & Cottages is located in a lovely rural setting, yet only 5 minutes from the M6 motorway.

The room was cosy and suited our needs. The cooked breakfast plus continental selection was outstanding. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Dinners were delicious also. The restaurant has been beautifully renovated and has such a welcoming feel.
