A bit on the pricey side if you stay more than 2 nights it’s always the same options for breakfast.
Maybe an egg station so you could order poached or an omelette instead of just fried

South cave is a beautiful little village, every garden seems to be well kept. The people are very friendly and there are some lovely cafes with home cooked food at a very reasonable price. A mystery person makes woollen toppers for the post box, it was a dragon when I went and it apparently gets changed every few months. There are plenty of beautiful walks you can take around the areas.

Nice location.
Nice location.
The parts of the building I visited, restaurant, lodge, bar, reception, we're all in need some TLC. It wasn't good value for money. We paid £70 per night and Imo wS vastly over priced.

South Cave has a couple of pubs and a few shops, it's a very pleasant and well kept large village. Then there is Cave Castle.
The grounds of Cave Castle are splendid and an ideal place to relax and unwind. The hotel has ample free car parking and a wonderful SPA, which you can use the pool, steam room & sauna free when staying at the hotel.
Fantastic hotel with a wonderful staff attitude aimed at pleasing guests. The venue is unbelievably attractive and full of lots of internal niceties. The wood panelled dining room was cosy for meals and has a plentiful breakfast selection. Tip: try the homemade muesli full of toasted pecans and dried fruit. Health club is well run with even pre-bookable swim lanes, changing rooms were clean and facilities in good order.
The staff in this hotel make it so special. The manager John was exceptionally helpful and so friendly. The staff were very busy and it was Christmas Eve but that didn’t stop them being really cheerful and friendly. All staff were just lovely and went out of their way to look after everyone. The food is exceptional and excellent value for money as well.
Great location not far from the motorway. Very well kept hotel. Comfortable bedroom. All the staff were so efficient and friendly. Excellent pool. Windsor restaurant served fantastic dinner and no problem with my gluten free diet. Very good breakfast. This was our second visit in six weeks. Looking forward to returning again.
Lovely looking building and nice communal areas. Plenty of free parking. The food at the bistro cafe was brilliant and i thought well priced - esp the kids meal. Fish (beer battered fish and chips) was one of the best i have ever tasted. Hotel provided towels and woggles etc for family swim. Breakfast was good. Clean.
Hotel was conveniently close to the A63, in a quiet village, staff were friendly and were ok that I arrived 11pm, breakfast was good and was served pretty quickly, my room was nice. It took me 30 mins in the morning to get to Malmo road in Hull where I was going for work, though that was in school half term.
friendly staff, spacious room, lively restaurant and bar when needed, satisfying breakfast, easy driving access, interesting walks right from the hotel, sleeping accommodation in separate building from bar, parking available, historic connections
Love the decor and comfort of Cave Castle, feels like a grand house. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food is delicious. The spa, pool and hottub are wonderful. Location is spot on. South Cave is a lovely village.
Had a meal in the windsor restaurant absolutely 5 star gorgeous food , truly beautiful resturant, staff first class. Lodge room ok bit tired in places but beautiful hotel and grounds returning soon .
Spa and pool, the building itself, 3 choices of restaurant in the hotel, good pubs & restaurants only a ten to fifteen minute walk away in the village, comfortable room, excellent value for money.
Architecturally this is a striking quirky hotel. Our room was spacious the food good and staff friendly but not inItially helpful when we needed to eat later but relented to group pressure!!
The hotel has character and the grounds are fabulous. Our room was quiet (in the annex) and spacious. Staff were generally helpful when encountered. The cleanliness of the room was good.
This was our 5th stay. The food is great. The bed in our room was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. The hotel is situated in a beautiful little village
